With the Street Twin, man and machine become one, put simply, that's the secret of enjoyment with any motorcycle.

900 is not a small bike , I’ve had bikes since 1971 and only owned one bigger than that , I prefer 650cc and smaller , always have . Though ya this one I do have my eye on. ❤

You are correct in terms of displacement however in Triumphs lineup until this year the 900cc P-Twin was the smallest engine they had as well as the lowest BHP rating. That said I very much enjoyed this bike and looking back at it the best looking "Modern Classic/Retro" bike in the price range to me. Way better than the Z650RS in my opinion.

when you have a motorcycle in your hands you have to ride calmly without rushing there are so many bikers in chairs or in cemeteries, the motorcycle is the freedom of the ride of the rough paths

Absolutely, one of the best things about riding is just to focus on the ride and let everything else melt away. 30 years in IT but riding has kept me from losing my mind over the years. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The Street Twin 900 has more than adequate acceleration if you grab a handful of throttle! Main mods I've done to my 2022 EC1: Changed tyres straight up to Avon ST Spirits- absolutely transformed the handling from OK to great! Triumph bar end mirrors- much better view. Vance and Hines slips ons with baffles removed- seems to run a little cooler and sounds loud enough. Factory center stand- convenient! Dart Marlin flyscreen- helps with high speed cruising. It's a great bike, but what would make it a fabulous bike IMO? Two things: A six speed box and. Upside down forks with twin disks on the front!

Thanks for sharing your setup and I agree that it has plenty of power. For me its the torque it delivers. All those mods are solid. I need to look up the flyscreen and see the pictures. Vs the competition its difficult to not choose it. Sorry for the delay in response. Been ill the past few days and I'm trying to catch up on the comments at least to say how much I appreciate it! Stay safe

I have the EC1 also. I've added the bare end mirrors and the fly screen is on order. It's a fantastic bike with PLENTY enough power! I just don't understand this insistence on having 1200cc and 100hp... Where are you even possibly going to use that... and keep your life/licence at the same time. Is this real or just people showing off on KZbin?I couldn't understand how this guy didn't comment on the engine note on start up?? Thanks for the video in any case. I'm glad you've ultimately had fun on it. What I didn't get though, is you said you prefer smaller bikes with "more fun", but then dissatisfied with the hp and torque on the 900 (65 and ~80). Which 400cc bike are you looking into was it the speed 400 you said? with 40hp (half that of the model you rode)

I have this bike and absolutely love it. Next to add to my collection is a Scout, but oh lawd I love this bike. My only note is you said 'it doesnt really have that much power'. You can't always go on the spec sheet, as it doesn't feel like 64bhp with that 80Nm. It feels faster than what the specs sheet says!

Appreciate you for taking the time to share your thoughts! In respect to the power you're not wrong in the regards of the torque versus other manufacturers in the price point. Can you get more power and torque from a competitions model yes but it would be very difficult to match the smile factor this bike delivers. What scout are you interested in by the way?

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders I’m really interested in the bobber! Would need to tweak the rear suspension and maybe make the bars a little longer given I’m 5’7 but the look is just out of this world. Loved the review pal🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

You were able to record the exhaust sound perfectly. Got to say I loved the sound so much. Did you have a microphone set up near one of the pipes or is this a helmet cam mic only? Great video, great sound!
@MotorcycleDemoRiders
@MotorcycleDemoRiders 5 ай бұрын
No, I have 2 mics run into the helmet. 1 is in the front under the check pad(Can still hear me breathing when I'm not moving) and the other is run in the back of the helmet. Does seem to help get the exhaust sound better. Always trying to get better equipment to make the videos better. Thanks for the question and for watching. I appreciate it very much! Stay Safe

Thank you for watching! My truthful filter kicked in quick on this one. I can understand the use of modes on bikes with 100bhp plus but has never made sense to me for electronics for lower power bikes. Old guy rant lol.

Iv'e just bought a 2024 Speed Twin 900, dealer advised me to keep it in Rain mode for the 600 mile running in period, that makes sense.

Congrats on your new bike! I have always done a varied break-in process myself on every motorcycle I've ever owned but its a personal think. I will do my best to vary the revs over the break-in but will occasionally get it a bit higher in the rev range but just won't keep it at those levels. Take a break and let the engine cool down and then go again. I know rain mode will limit the power output a but not sure it will keep the revs down. Next time I'm in Waukesha I will ask them what they feel about the process and share it. Information is never a bad thing. Stay safe and again enjoy!

Thank you for your video and channel! I really like this bike! I am not a high-powered bike guy. I currently own a Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. (Astral Black, loving the Barend Mirrors I added!) Love it and have no complaints. Would this bike potentially be a step up from what I am riding if I was setting goals for the next bike?
@MotorcycleDemoRiders
@MotorcycleDemoRiders 6 ай бұрын
You are welcome and thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. I love the Super Meteor. It was as good as I expected. As far as an upgrade yeah it would be a nice step up. Power is up, weight is down so it will feel a lot more powerful for everyday street riding. Both are very comfortable to me. Biggest difference would be the rider triangle.(Mids vs forwards) I am sure you would enjoy it and would love to get your feedback on your rider experience. Stay safe and hope this helps.

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders I went to Triumph today and sat on the Speed Twin 900. I was surprised at how small it was and how narrow the bars are. It felt somehow even a lot smaller than the Royal Enfield 650 Super Meteor despite carrying a 900 engine. Next to it was the Triumph Bobber!!!! Now we are jumping up on a big spend, but man it felt perfect! I am booking a test, but it will be a while if I could pull the trigger on it! However, what I do note, is just how amazing the quality is on the Royal Enfield Super Meteor. It rides beautifully and I have no regrets for the purchase new. For people who don't know bikes, the look of the Royal Enfield Super Meteor alone stands up to Triumph. But, man, that 2023 Triumph Bobber!❤️❤️🥰❤️❤️ Have you tested it yet? (Forgive me if I missed it)

@@Cj-nu7nx I didn't get to ride a 23 bobber. I rode the a 17 and a 22 and haven't released the videos yet. Really good looking bikes but it wasn't comfortable for me. Awesome to ride and it was my back that made the bobber uncomfortable for me so I would definitely suggest trying it before purchase. Let me know how your test ride goes. Would love to hear your insights. Stay Safe

Royal Enfield haved stepped up quality with Super Meteor with Showa forks & fit & finish. I had a Interceptor & the forks walloed so put YSS fork upgrade in & handling improved heaps.The one thing that's let Royal Enfield down is the soft steel nuts & bolts which are crap but can be replaced.I got me a Triumph Trident 🔱 now & fit & finish is alot better & stainless nuts & bolts etc & looking at getting a Triumph 900 as I do like the look of modern classic bikes.
