Did it to my sport 660 what a difference, couldn’t use pegs ( age related) and hips locked ( painful) getting foot over pillion seat , it’s now perfect but lowering seat doesn’t work because it changes leg angle to pegs and doesn’t work. , good vid thanks 😊👍👍

I have the exact same bike and a 29 inch inside leg. Dropped it today while doing a simple slow turn. I need to lower it to give me more control is this way recommended moto tripper.

Definitely, Lust Racing does the 30mm dogbones, I’ve also bought the genuine triumph low seat that brings it a further 20mm, total 50mm drop now, it will need to be dropped at the front 10mm as I can feel the front being light when fully loaded or pillion on, make sure to stiffen up rear suspension, far more control now and more confidence in slow manoeuvres, not dropped it once since, thanks for your comment and hope this information helps you 👍🏼

Hi, thanks for sharing this video, as I too am looking to lower my bike. I’ve ordered a 30mm Lust lowering link. Did you need to change the kickstand to a shorter one?
@mototripperuk9 ай бұрын
For me I didn't need to change the stand, the bike was at a good enough angle to be OK, when you get your links it will recommend that you lower the front suspension by 10mm in the instructions, I tested my bike in this video without doing it, however that is a personal preference, it could be different for each rider, so do as I did in this video and test it on a short ride with enough corners to see how the bike reacts, the instructions are detailed and fairly easy to understand if you do need to drop the front, just for reference I'm 5ft 7ish and weigh 14 stone, thanks for your comment 👍

How did you solve the problem of lowering the motorcycle's stand and side stand?
@mototripperukАй бұрын
I haven’t as yet, but it does need doing, I’m just careful where I park 👍🏼

Did you get a new kickstand to adjust the kickstand angle? Noticed any issues after a few months?
@mototripperuk6 ай бұрын
No, I never got a new kickstand, for me it's okay, however you need to be careful with the camber when parking up, it is something I will do in the future, but right now it's okay, I have found no issues at all, in fact I find riding the bike more comfortable to handle now, thanks for your comment & hope this information is useful for you 👍

No change that I can feel, just more confidence 👍🏼

Hi thanks for making this video. How tall are you? I'm 5.5 and I tip toe right now. I feel an inch be enough but checking your experience
@mototripperuk8 ай бұрын
To be honest, I don't think 30mm is enough for you height, what is your inside leg measurement? I'm 29 inches inside leg, I'm on the balls of my feet after lowering, it's far better but not great, if lowering further than 30mm then you will definitely need to lower front forks by 10mm or more, hope this helps 👍
@mototripperuk8 ай бұрын
I said in the video how tall I am, please watch it in full.

no need to lower front forks?
@mototripperukАй бұрын
Hi, thanks for your question, I would say yes, you do need to drop them at least 10mm at the front, especially if you’re fully loaded or taking a pillion, the front wants to lift, however not so much if you’re not loaded, I will be lowering mine 10mm soon as I get time to do it before summer 👍🏼
@inetbikeАй бұрын
@@mototripperuk thanks, I need to lower mine too, where did you get lowering kit?
@mototripperukАй бұрын
@ if I remember I got it from Ebay, it’s the 30mm Lust lowering kit 👍🏼

@ I also got a lower seat, since I have a very short inside leg, so much more comfortable and more confidence

I do need one, but not urgently, I watch what side of the camber I'm parking on, so far all okay 👌
