Correction: for the rear preload (bigger "hard to turn" knob) it is 10,5 turns not clicks... My confy city "solo" settings for 75kg are 10/10 on the front and 10/1,65 on the rear; confy road "two up" 8/6 on the front and increasing 2 turns preload and 0,25 rebound for each 20kg more on the rear. I have Rally Pro.

I gave the guy my gear total ride weight including gear and tools and the forks were re valved and sprung to suit. I will replace the rear shock, it's more effective to replace it than try and tune it. Wilburs make a good replacement shock.

@clarkstreetcustoms3 ай бұрын
@@kevinmcelroy1802 The “nuts” on the forks I think you are referring too (which require a 19mm socket or spanner) are for preload. The “nipples” are to adjust the compression damping (right fork) and rebound damping (left fork). So in some respects you are right that they are for “fine tuning” adjustments. They do make a big difference to the way the bike rides and feels as I talk about in the video.

May I ask you a question about how hard to lift the bike on the center stand after you installed the lower link. Also, are there any effect when riding.
@clarkstreetcustomsАй бұрын
@@jittakornt I haven’t had any issues with putting the bike on the sidestand. If you follow the install and lower the front suspension as in the video, the geometry doesn’t change so riding is the same. It feels exactly the same to me just 30mm lower.

Hello, I have a 2023 model tiger 900 rally pro. My wife and I will go on a long trip with our luggage. What should the front and rear suspension settings be? I could not fully understand what you said because my English is not good :) I would be very happy if you could answer.
@clarkstreetcustoms4 ай бұрын
@@mtnszr1877 Hi there. The settings I talked about in the clip which work well for me and my wife and luggage: FRONT: Preload: Minimum (fully anticlockwise). Compression (right fork): 6 clicks from fully clockwise. Rebound (left fork): 6 clicks from fully clockwise. REAR: Preload (right side, top of shock) Maximum (fully clockwise). Rebound (left side, bottom of shock): 0.75 turns anticlockwise from fully clockwise position. Let me know how that works for you!

Hi I have a 2023 rally pro I had both compression and rebound set at 3 clicks and it rode awful rebound felt to fast, a mate also rode and experienced the same, we played about and slowed the rebound 12 clicks and put the compression at 8? It seamed to ride much better is this ok ? I had a tiger 800 road version before this so I’m still getting used to the extra suspension and front fork initial dive.
@clarkstreetcustoms3 ай бұрын
@@adamhoneybun1166 If it feels right it probably is right! Yes, rebound on 3 is pretty quick which is fine for sport riding on the road but not so much for regular mixed riding. Good that there is so much adjustment and you are getting it dialed in for you.

Question..A. I feel like an idiot. So..on the front forks....I've ONLY turned the "top knob" with my fingers...I thought that was the setting adjuster. I've NOT turned anything else with a wrench??? I didn't know you can turn both the top knob, AS WELL as the "nut". I've never adjusted that.... Question B. On the right suspension knob...under the seat...you said "clicks" but did you mean the graduation lines that are shown there? Question C. I've never adjust the very bottom LEFT shock screw either. When you say "7.5" etc..how can you tell I see no graduation marks or anything. Yes lot's of confusion at least on my end. I'm going on a ADV wknd trip leaving in 2 days and need to have this figured out. I'm going solo on road with luggage, then off road solo no luggage.... ugh!@#$%
@clarkstreetcustoms3 ай бұрын
You are all good mate. No worries! Question A: the "top knob" is the adjuster for compression damping (on the right fork) and rebound damping (on the left fork) so you are right these are "setting adjuster(s)". The nut is for spring preload. Question B: I meant clicks (you will hear them and feel them). Question C: There are no graduation marks on the adjuster on the bottom of the rear shock. Think of it like a clock. "0.75" is 3/4 of a turn left from the fully clockwise position. Just turn the adjuster fully clockwise with your screwdriver and then turn it left the amount you want e.g. 0.5 equals half a turn anticlockwise etc.
