We had (bought new) both the 1970 Pontiac Catalina station wagon as well as the 1972 Pontiac Catalina station wagon. I absolutely loved those cars and wish I had one now‼️❤️

Wow that Dane is huge. They are so gental too. Love that Cadillac wagon. The rest of them too. I worked for a Buick dealer in 1981 and people all around Annapolis, MD brought us these wagons to fix the tailgate windows on when they broke. We had a guy that knew how they worked and could fix them. My 1975 Buick Park Avenue with the 455 goes down the road 80 miles and hour in perfect quiet and comfort. When it gets above 75 the wind pushes it down on the road more. It''s really an experience. It get's 11 mpg AC on or off in town or on the highway. See me coming get out of the way!

My dad had both a 71 Pontiac Safari and then a 73 Grand Safari with a 455 as company cars. Those were just awesome cars!

What a treat! This brings back so many memories from the 70's for me. I love the old GM wagons and really miss them. Such a nice assortments of Buicks, Olds, Chevys, a Pontiac and even a Cadillac, wow! I had really had great hopes for the future years when I was younger in the 70's, current times are such a disappointment!

My Uncle had a 1976 Olds Custom Cruiser, the same exact color as yours with the wood paneling. He was so proud of that car and it was always meticulously maintained, cleaned and waxed. Looking down that long hood brings back fond memories. I loved driving that car. I remember 9 of us piling in to it for a trip from CT to a wedding on Long Island. It wasn't cramped at all.

Growing up my parents owned a 1972 Kingswood wagon. It was the car I learned to drive on imagine my surprise in the summer of 2023 when I went to the Yastafel transportation, museum, near Akureyri Iceland. What I found was a 1972 Kingswood wagon in black with a kilometer speedometer no air conditioning that was used as a hearse. I did not realize that I grew up learning to drive a hearse.

Up here in the NE I am sure those who had to park these outside through the winters had issues as I remember seeing these here and there with rust on them in the tail gate.

I had no idea ANY Cadillac Clamshells were made. Very cool. It would be hard to pick a favorite style. I think Chevy, Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile, Pontiac. The only ones I can recall ever having been in, were Chevy wagons. Catch me on a different day and 2-5 could be in a different order. Does anyone else miss the days when GM had the badge engineering clone cars? When maybe there was a Cadillac. -_- in about 5 years I'm going to find out there was a Cadillac X-Body 😀 It won't exist til the timeline changes again tho.

Correction: the 1976 Buick Estate Wagon did have optional auto climate control as an option. My uncle had a ‘76 with every option including auto a/c.
