The Citi Premier card is a great earning card and they will give you retention offers if you call every 6 months. It's a keeper card even with the $95 AF imho but you can definitely offset this with retention offers alone. It's especially great if you have a P2 who just wants one card to use. Also great for earning good categories when traveling international

Have you heard of anybody getting both versions (when spacing out applications) on the first mentioned card? If your in the area for the closer for an away game series (for you and family) to watch the last seeing both (baseball) teams are not expected to go in the postseason don't forget Olga's Kitchen for a restaurant recommendation.

Also... the cash plus card from us bank is good as well. Electronic stores, and others can be 5%.2 categories to choose from. If you can product change the wells fargo active cash card to the Bilt card to pay for restaurants, dorm room rent, etc...or product change to one of the choice hotel cards may be beneficial to you, versus canceling the card. You might add all get some value from the changes that are happening for you. Good luck. I hope that helps.

For Q4 l’ll be using my RBFCU world Mastercard for my flat 2% card, the Citi Custom Cash for my dining category, the Costco Anywhere Visa for gas and any travel I have (I’m just looking to get a high cash back certificate in February), the Amex BCP for groceries and streaming, the Amazon Visa, and the Capital One SavorOne for any Uber purchases or if I want to visit the Capital One Cafe that I’m close to

Heavy hitters this quarter will be me and my p2’s CFF’s/OG Freedom, Capital One Walmart and Amazon card. Between those 3 we’ll get 5% back on Costco, Walmart, Amazon, gas stations and PayPal which will come in handy when our insurance is up for renewal. CFU with the catch all. Trying to hold off on new cards to get the US Bank cash plus in 2024

I always enjoy watching your what's in my wallet videos because we have a very similar setup, so it's a good double check for me that I didn't overlook anything. Coincidentally we are also going overseas in Q4 and we are actually using our Verizon Visa for 4% on groceries and gas over there (as that card has no FTF), and our Savor for dining and entertainment. We are also bringing our Premier as a backup, and leaving the Sapphire Preferred at home (really should just cancel it at this point).

Primarily my Freedom Flex for the 5x bonus on grocery spend (still in 1st year) and wholesale clubs. Ink cash will still get my cell phone. Will probably move to also using it for gas station gift cards at Office Depot. World of Hyatt is my catch-all as I'm almost at the 15k mark for the year.

You mentioned getting rid of one of your cards. I once cancelled a credit card and it resulted in a huge dent in my credit score. So, is there a proper way to get rid of a credit card without that happening?

It depends on your length of credit and if you are holding a balance on your other cards, cancelling cards will raise your utilization, which will negatively affect your credit. I've closed several cards but I have a somewhat long credit history and I don't keep balances on my cards so my utilization doesn't go up when I close a card

Although due to motion blur, the viewer should not be able to see your card number, if a professional hacker were to enhance its clarity through computer vision methods, there is a possibility that they could identify your card number.
