Ed, you seem to be getting around to talking about how to make peace and this is particularly interesting and necessary. Whether it requires more courage or less isn't really relevant. How to make peace, I agree, must be a practice and be practised at all times! Maybe you could compile a "to-do peace" list including things like: --stop (as in to stop being angry - if necessary create a pischka for a monetary fine to inhibit anger) to listen to what is being said (what the grievances are) and consider these as your own, --identify with the other's pain and concerns, --love your neighbor and want to help them, --have faith that your and your family's needs will not come up short, --Be thankful that you've got this opportunity to make peace, --celebrate being alive, CWW people, feel free to offer additions to this small list. Love.

Hi all! I'm very glad to be alive and happy to include you all in my concerns and joy. I've begun learning for me new stuff which I "should" have been able to do 50 years ago and am enjoying feeling like a beginner, again, again. Like in any relationship it's key to be curious, excited and diligent about what you're doing and not worry about being the expert (even if you ARE the expert!). Thank you all for all the kindness you feel and show - even here in not so hot north Germany your efforts are felt and appreciated. Ed, the idea of the BBQ at the library sounds fantastic. Please include us to come and partake (making it a CWW-community mission) and we'll include some marinated veggies to offset your mainly-meat offerings. This can be a yearly function, while other churches and civic-groups can also do this (on a weekly basis). Supporting the library is one thing, but supporting and fostering library-life is quite another! Go get 'em. And BTW, thanks for all you do and are, Ed.

To all in the chat: I've noticed that when concerned about political candidates and espousing and countering political view in the if not accepted at least "ordinary" ways, we are acting much less as a community of people interested in the concerns of each other. There is less room and energy to share and to commiserate. Love.
