If you IBB the same player twice in the same inning they get 2 bases instead of 1, 3rd time they get 3 bases, etc. I get why they wouldn't pitch to Grant but it just doesn't make for a fun watch. Much better entertainment when contact is made than every batter being either a BB or a K. Just my 2cents. Can't wait for the next video. :)

People are going to complain about the intentional walks, but that's on the Magic. The fact that the rest of their team couldn't get on base enough to force even a single scenario where Grant has to be pitched to or there'll be a run walked in (or put up ANY runs of their own like we saw them do last postseason) says it all. The loss here is on the Magic batting lineup, they got cooked by Irwin all series. Huge credit to Drew for implementing the intentional walk strategy and going with Caden, who I was saying should be the ace since that gem vs. the Wildcats, and of course the wins here are all thanks to those shutout pitching performances by Irwin (and the offense doing just enough).

Magic’s weak point got exposed when it mattered most. Don’t let this distract you from the absolute career pitching outing Irwin had. He put on a clinic out there from start to finish, and to NOT ALLOW ONE run with a runner on first base EVERY INNING is incredibly impressive. A true breakout performance from him who deserves all the flowers. Also give major props to Drew for the game strategy. The team had a plan and executed it to perfection and never let it come unwound even though it came very close to. Helluva play by Durand at the end there on the pump fake. HUGE heads up play all while doing it in style. Most fans might not like it and complain for a rule change, but the Magic had this coming to them eventually and not drafting anyone is definitely salt in the wound for Aigner. Some major changes will have to made by this team over the offseason and if Grant retires, they’ll either need another favor from the commissioner or go back to living at the bottom of the basement in this league.

Absolutely embarrassing for Trevor Bonham

It was for sure, but not because they walked Grant. It's embarassing because he couldn't even get the bat off his shoulder. Total choke, no confidence. He's a good athlete, but mentally overpowered by the situation.

I’m going to put this in simple terms drew is a genius for that but I feel very bad for Rj and Grant carrying the team

Probably not, 2-4 will have to show up which I think they will.
@rsn20124 күн бұрын
Yes he will because Warda hits behind him. Warda has been hot all year.

Man if Trevor was in MLB The Show, his clutch would be a 0

Grant rounded third just to end that shit show. #2-4 hitters put the ball in play only twice in two games? Once on a check swing? Grant is in my top 3 all-time.

Miller had a brain fart running into that last out. Frustration may have impacted his concentration

Na, if he stays at 3rd he’d be stranded there anyway as the next batter strikes out
@timvaughn30734 күн бұрын
Never know. If the next batter walked, Miller would have been up to bat with the score tied and the bases loaded. Can't run yourself out of the last inning.
