@@rickyhenry4958 That’s True But Robles is your star, & he isn’t clutch. Bottom of the 9th bases loaded one out Robles has a chance to give himself more run support, and strikes out. Then gets the ball after Jorgensen bails him out and gives up two home runs after 7 unblemished innings. He can’t handle a lead, and he isn’t a player who can lead a team to the World Series. He isn’t near the same category as Knorp, Walgate, & Kracht in terms of guys I’d want in a clutch situation.

What a series. Robles arm must have been hanging. For those saying he should have pitched Game 2, I have to assume he plays in at least one other league and is in his upper 20s. Dude’s arm has a lot of pitches on it. Blade may have pitched Game 2 if he was there, but kudos to Dallas for gutting it out. Was huge for the Eagles to get that lead to not give the Mallards much of any hope.
@tiptoptoe296810 күн бұрын
2 things: 1. he ended up pitching in game 2. So he was available. 2. If they win game 2, you dont thinks hes pitching game 3? Dallas went back to back. TC3 overthought it. Out managed.

3 Things the Mallards must do to contend next year: 1. Tom steps down an lets Robles manage. Not that Tommy can't play anymore, but he's being pulled in too many different directions, and clearly it has affected him mentally. 2. Solidify who is the #2 arm. Is it Kolm, Jorgy, or someone else? 3. Use the pick on a pure hitter with OBP skills. Someone has to set the table for Robles.

Ok man i hate to bring this up but I've been watching the league since 2020, this league rigged a draft trade against the mallards to save a sinking magic franchise and WE have to pay for it. Zero offense all year, you know what would have helped? Offense. One from a certain magic first overall pick who was a no doubt franchise star. There is no way any owner makes the trade we did that day and Robles is forced to pay for it.
@beanie342711 күн бұрын
Man as a Mallards fan this was a really disappointing season, but it was great seeing Robles continue to play fantastic and Kolm also hit well when he played. The other guys had flashes, and obviously have the pedigree to be great. I really hope Jorgenson and Tommy can lock in next year and put up the numbers they did in 2023, especially Tommy with walking more and both with the home runs. Tommy had 16 BBs in 64 PAs in '23, and this year that dropped to 6 in 41 PAs going into today. Last year they both combined for 11 homers, this year only 3. I also think the Mallards need to find a better #2 pitcher behind Robles. But still, on paper I think they have a chance of being the best in the league when they are playing well.
