Only downside with the Q3 is it gets the old GTI engine EA888Gen3 vs the much better, powerful and improved EA888Gen4 with a better Garrett MGT1754 turbocharger

Great review as always! I have a 21’ Q3 and one of my favorite features is that Audi recommends regular 87 gas!! That really adds to the value proposition and I don’t believe a lot of the other small luxury SUVs run on regular.

Great job with this video. That sun roof is 🔥 For that to be standard is great value! The rear seats can be much more comfortable with your example of moving the seats back and tilting them back as well. Great job showing that feature. The 40/20/40 seat split is great. I'm not sure how many cars of this size off that. Too bad that wireless Car Play is not yet offered but maybe some other year, huh?

Thanks for this review. I am debating between a BMW X1 and the Q3. I'm leaning towards the Q3 for the following reasons 1. Regular gas. 2. Steering - much easier than X1, 3. Still has buttons to control temp and sound. It isn't safe to have to look at the screen to make adjustments and I'm not sure I trust voice activation. 4. Handling - Less trucklike. 5. Price.

@@soccergirl5367I bought the x1. It is great on the highway but there are some limitations. The hey BMW command system never works. The car is so dam complicated. When I hit the accelerator it hesitates before it takes off which will probably result in a recall. It isn't safe. I miss all of the pre-sets and knobs. It still has some but you have to take your eyes off the road to change the temperature. I miss my 2018 x1. It was a much better car but had too many miles on it.

Consumer reports. I don’t think they want their videos to be half of an hour long. And it’s a snooze for young people like me who do their own research. Plus many of these new vehicles from luxury car manufacturers have great safety ratings, goes without saying. All that said, it’s very old fashioned to mention that. They did mention the safety features.

Awesome review guys, As Always!!! Do we have an option to get the heated steering wheel in Q3? I really wish Audi would have refreshed the new year model considering the BMW X1 is totally refreshed. I am very close to choosing between these two. Should I wait or just go for the X1 since it's got more features (not considering the price diff)?

Thanks! Looks like a heated steering wheel isn't offered. It seems like it's about time for a Q3 refresh but we haven't heard anything about when that might happen. There should be a new Q5 for 2025 if you want to consider something a little larger

Going to test one today. Want a smaller suv with enough driver seat for a bigger guy. I’m 6’ and 225 lbs with broader shoulders. We already have a XC90 for road trips and the family car. I want something still higher up but smaller for city driving. Worried about the seat space though…hoping they are the same seat sizes between the q3 and q5

Great little car. Going Premium Plus is kinda absurd here in '24 IMO. It's $3k more and all you get for that is Top-View-360-Cam & Ambient Lighting. It's still another $2,500 on top of that $3k Premium Plus upcharge if you get the Tech Pkg so you can have wireless apple carplay. Premium (base) grade with the convenience pkg & black optics pkg gets one a heck of a lot of stuff for the $$. Just not Wireless Apple/Android CarPlay stuff.

The problem with the cheapest models often is the use of plastics that leach volatile compounds that smell and engines that are not well insulated that leach bad air. The end result is a terrible headaches and nothing like a comfortable ride.

The amount of plastic used really doesn't give me that luxury vibe. It feels like a slight upgrade to my 2020 Hyundai Tuscon Limited (or Luxury as the trim level is called here in Canada).....If I were to upgrade my ride tomorrow I'd pick Genesis GV70 over Audi Q3/5 on any given day.

I think audi needs to give better paint options and better rim selections. BMW gives way more options when it comes to rims and paint. Audi interior is also outdated the interior looks the same from 10 years ago and doesn't look luxury. I see cheaper vehicles thats more updated than an audi. They vehicles also need to be redisigned because you really can't tell the difference from the new and old.
