The 2023 x1 did come with a interior glove box light but was not installed in the 24 x1/x2 as a cost cutting measure by bmw.

Great info on this models features..especially that crazy auto stop/start function..i experienced it once while being a passenger in my friends Subaru suv..and it drove me nuts,cause we were in a traffic jam on the highway going to a ball game..every couple of feet that damm engine would shut off and when the brake was released it would start up and lurch forward?..not a smooth transition at all..definitely a deal breaker ,for me..if i liked the car that much,after a test drive..i would just drive it in sport mode all the time..and like you said trying to park,stoping and cutting the wheel one way or another, then having it keep restarting..ugh..hopefully not all manufacturers are going to copy this stop start feature..

The caution about start-up lag/lurch are on target, as are remarks about bumps. On a washboard feels like a minor earthquake. The many level menu system is a pain, and instructions on using it aren’t clear, so you can take hours, not minutes, to set up options to suit you. AWD is iffy maneuvering in snow. However, overall, vehicle is quick, quiet, nimble and fun.

That emblem to open the back is no fun. Hubby has a VW that opens the same way. Ive pinched my fingers in it more times than i can count 😵‍💫

Just a hideous look to the exterior and interior of this X2. Priced way too high for what you get. This coming from an owner of an older X1/X2. Those gigantic IPad screens are ridiculous. I can’t imagine the cost associated with a repair if that went down and there wasn’t warranty left over. Give me analog gauges every day of the week. Include the idrive controller knob as well. Worst mistake they did was taking this away. Only positive here is the bump in power numbers. Engine is fully capable on making way more.

I like the car very much, something new, something outstanding. Can‘t understand why everyone is complaining about the idrive. Can remember when it was invented, so many were complainig about it, too. You can never forfill a the desires.
