2024 BMW X3 VS 2024 Audi Q5! The Better Small Luxury SUV?

👋 In todays comparison, we are taking a look at the 2024 Audi Q5 S Line and the 2024 BMW X3 xDrive30i! These are two luxury brand SUV's that are in the middle of the line up as far as sizing goes!
The 2024 Audi Q5 has a starting MSRP just over $47K and can easily climb up from that depending on the option you go with, along with the trim level! The highest trim level is the SQ5 which can cost closer to $75K! The Audi Q5 is a nice luxury suv that is comfortable to drive, has plenty of space and a lot of creature comforts to make it a great daily driver!
The 2024 BMW X3 xDrive30i starts just over $48K. So slightly more expensive and with the top trim level being the X3 M Competition, it can easily climb to $90K! A great smaller size suv that also has a lot to offer, comfortable and plenty of tech features too!

Both of these luxury brand SUV's are great to be honest! I'm a huge fan of Audi and BMW so it would be a toss up for me! I do own an Audi and BMW, so I'm torn lol!

Both car are almost identical except for the badge and info system. It’s a matter of preference. I personally own a x3 and love it.

I enjoy your reviews, and here's some feedback. Instead of just saying the cargo space is 'good' and 'identical', it would be helpful if you actually shared numbers. 'Good', 'nice' and 'identical' don't mean anything. Same applies to leg room.

I'm a fan (and owner) of both brands so no bias here, but the the 261 hp Q5 0-60 is rated around 5.7 seconds. The 6.8 number comes from the 201 hp entry-level Q5 (40 TFSI vs 45 TFSI).

@JB_287 If you were to choose the Audi vs the BMW, which would you prefer? Might be difficult to answer since you like both, but these are the 2 vehicles I’m trying to decide on.

I love BMW X3 more than the Audi Q5 but the fact that the BMW X3 doesn't have a spur wheel it makes me rethink. But I think it defer with the countries I think here in South Africa it have a spur wheel therefore for me I choose BMW X3.

Why doesn’t the X3 have the longer screen across like all the other models (x1,x5,x7) is there option to change that. You said these are the base models, so I’m hoping more things can be added to the X3 because it’s already so beautiful 😍

No large screen for even the X3M, maybe for the 2025 year model, but not yet..

idrive 8 curved display monitor is coming in the 2025 MY X3. Personally, not a fan of the curved monitor display. I intentionally went with the 2024 MY because of it. Although, the 2025 MY X3 new body style looks AMAZING!!!

Lo stesso si disse nel 2009 quando comprai la mia Q5. 15 anni dopo l’Audi è ancora bella, moderna. La x3 del 2009 sembra un bidone della spazzatura. Succederà ancora con questi 2 modelli. La BMW invecchia molto prima

I have owned both. Drive wise both will be the same. Interior and infotainment will be different. BMW's interior and idrive system is hands down more practical and Bette than Audi's MMI. Rest, it's pretty much the same

BMW are good, but their harsh suspension is a let down for alot of people who are daily drivers. This also makes it less Luxurious.

Audi has 2.0 turbo as well. Not 2.4.

No, the Audi is a 2.4L..

No. But the 40 and 45 models have the 2.0 turbo, just in different states of tune. The 45 model also has a 48v mild hybrid system.
