Was glad to see Sierra Leone's charge to the finish. Maybe he's finally grown out of his juvenile silliness on the track. Wasn't surprised by Next's finish, these horses are just not part of his game. Saying that, there are still few, if any who can beat him at the marathon level. I hope it didn't break his huge heart. Thanks again for your coverage, you aced it as usual. 🏇🏆🎞️

Very nice for Sierra Leone, but can't help but feel bad for City of Troy and especially for Next. That Flav. This was wonderful Sean, hope you enjoyed it.

Agreed; a lot of people seem to be piling-on City of Troy and his performance-I think having the international talent such as City of Troy and Forever Young (along with Fierceness, Sierra Leone, etc) is great for racing; and Aidan O'Brien seems like a first-class gentleman.

Hell-of-a-race!!! Congrats to Sierra Leone & the Chad Brown team; also proud of Fierceness for his effort here and putting together three outstanding races. Thanks Sean for your exceptional coverage; 2024 was a great year for three-year-olds. If someone told me in March that Fierceness, Sierra Leone, Nysos and Muth would not have won any of the 👑👑👑 races-I wouldn't have believed it 🐎

Aidan O'Brien had said that he'd made City of Troy "bulletproof". Someone send him a dictionary so he can read what that word actually means! Coolmore just learned a big lesson about sending a turf horse to challenge dirt horses on dirt!

I dont understand why the breeders cup is always at Delmar or Santa Anita. What about Gulfstream, laurel, Fairgrounds, Tampa Bay, etc?
@Steven-r2w9b
@Steven-r2w9b Ай бұрын
The BC races are NOT "always" held at Del Mar or Santa Anita. The Breeder's Cup races have been held all over the USA over the past 41 years. For whatever reason, the BC races are being held at Del Mar two years in a row (this year and next year).
@ballen..

The BC has been at Gulfstream several times. Tampa is much too small. The BC has been at Aqueduct, Belmont,Santa Anita, Hollywood, Del Mar.Churchill, Keeneland, Gulfstream, Lone Star, Monmouth, Arlington and Woodbine.
@Mills-x1n

@@ballen.. But when was the last time the BC was at the new Gulfstream not the old one? You say Tampa is too small that's the problem with America's tracks. We need more Belmont's long stretches sweeping turns....

@@JMAccordino Hey Einstein, why can't you answer the question in a civil manner, like everybody else has? Apparently you're not aware of the fact that the BC races are held ALL OVER THE UNITED STATES, and they were held in CANADA one year? Instead of being a "keyboard bully", maybe you should remove your foot from your mouth.

As I predicted in several other KZbin Breeder's Cup previews, Next finished an embarrassing and over-matched LAST (by 34 lengths) and City of Troy basically didn't show up, finishing 8th (by 13 lengths). I predicted Forever Young, Fierceness, and Newgate, in that order. I NEVER thought that Sierra Leone would actually WIN a big race like the BC Classic, based on his non-winning record since the Spring.
@karmab4391
@karmab4391 Ай бұрын
Ask yourself why a horse that is used to running longer distances would just quit like Next did. He wasn't the only also-ran in that race and had put up 109 Beyers in the past so he should have been able to trail the field. He wasn't last when he quit. I watched him train last week. He was never himself, head down in the stall, uninterested in what was going on around him when he is usually taking it all in. I guess the need to tell us all how right you were is more important than applying logic. FYI the need to emphasize one's words with capitalization has been linked to overcompensation disorder.
@pmac9940
@pmac9940 Ай бұрын
Thinking S.L didn't have a chance should disqualify you from any further predictions. Nest was outclassed by 8 lengths anyway. COT was a turf horse who should've never been entered. So no surprising predictions there. Newgate naaa. The best two male horses all year were going to go at it again but this one set up perfectly for the deep closer who got not only a blaze on the front end but some added distance as well. Easier perfect box in the Classic since Affirmed vs Alydar..🤷🐎🐎

@@karmab4391 We get it. You lost a sizable amount of money on Next, or you lost your reputation as a "horse-player", or probably both. AND you're still making excuses and attacking me. Stay in your own lane, and have a nice big slice of HUMBLE PIE.
@Steven-r2w9b
@Steven-r2w9b Ай бұрын
@@pmac9940 "Nest" didn't run in the BC Classic yesterday. If you're referring to "Next", he finished LAST by 34 lengths. Characterizing a horse who, prior to yesterday, hadn't won a race since APRIL, as one of the "best two male horses all year" is ridiculous. Your stumbling and bumbling, along with your complete lack of knowledge, is stunning.
@apharoah12
@apharoah12 Ай бұрын
I wouldn't put too much into the 34 length defeat for Next. If he didn't have a shot to hit top four, he wasn't going to be pushed. Luan took care of him and he'll be alright for next year.
