I owned a 2021 Outlander XT-P 1000R Max (in orange) which I just sold a month ago. What I liked: Loved the Max setup, long wheelbase and overall frame size as I'm a big boy who didn't feel bigger than the bike. What I didn't like: The heat that came off the right side mostly could be terrible. If you were moving it was generally fine. Even after a long day of riding though your leg felt like it had cooked to a medium-rare. The width of the seat at the front where your knees go. Uncomfortably wide. I'm 6'4" tall and 300lb (ish). I got really tired of the seat keeping my legs pushed out all the time. My XT-P had the full undercarriage skidplates. Add in the body covers and skins this made it terrible to clean. This fully skidplate cause me to be high centered a few times when in deep mud as the bike sat on top of the mud not allowing the wheels to dig in. I was always worried to push the throttle for fear of causing the belt to slip. Changing oil was also terrible. Any machine with a ICE should make this most basic of maintenance functions as easy and accessible as possible. In 2021 they only offered 1 key. This is BS for a $15K machine. A 6 mo warranty is also BS and truthfully shows their confidence in their own product. A 1000cc is great for ego but don't see it offering anything over the 850. There are plenty of videos comparing the 650 to the 850 to the 1000 with very little difference between them. Probably won't buy another Can-Am ATV (disclaimer I also own a '21 Can Am Defender Limited 1000 which I love). Wish Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki or Suzuki would offer a Rubicon/Grizzly/Brute Force/King Quad with a larger cc engine and a slightly larger frame like the Can-Am. I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

Great feedback brother. That's one thing I was going to mention in the video, but forgot. Yes, definitely some heat coming out around the mid section on this. The fan is pretty loud as well and seems to run a lot. Guess that would be ok in the winter, but in the summer you are going to notice it for sure 👊

My 2019 max xt 1000 is virtually identical to yours except the variable engine braking feature and the headlights. I love this machine and find I’m good with the non variable engine braking that mine has. The only thing is if you ride it hard, you’ll be looking for a gas station. I found a cheap adapter for the power plug that gives me two usb ports for a phone and/or a GPS. Still would be nice if it came with the USB.

It's a better value for sure but it's not a better quad, can am is more reliable, more powerful, and from what I hear more comfortable.
