I have a 2023 Outlander 850 Max. I ride solo but learned the longer wheelbase gives a better ride, so that was my motivation to get the Max version. I love the V-Twin engine as it's smoother than the big one-cylinder ATVs, plus I've kept the exhaust stock as I appreciate the low noise level. The new to last year feature of a 3-level setting on the hold back for downhill stretches is fantastic. I usually have it on the minimal level setting and it's easy to change. I also find the Work Mode throttle setting is fantastic for tight maneuvering on rough ground or navigating among lots of obstacles. My Outlander is not a work tool like so many Rancher/Farmers require, it's just a toy for me, but I've been extremely happy with my purchase. Two thumbs-up on the Outlander series.

When will they offer a driver backrest like they have on older models

Detailed ATV review, thanks! I remember they used to make three-wheelers with only 1 wheel up front, which had a tendency to flip or tip over from what I heard. The 4 wheels definitely are a safer bet on uneven terrain.

I used to run the three wheeler Honda 250 R 1986 this machine was a blast. The three wheels gave you the opportunity to lean left or right onto two at any time during your runs, if need be in a situation came at a split section. This bad boy when punched would give you everything you were expecting it would. First, second or third gear, you were a terror on the Earth. That front wheel was gonna come up when you blasted those gears. When wrenching on the throttle. Now the Max XT 850 is a different beast. I’m turning 70 years old this year. If they made the 250 R yet today. I’d be still wrenching on those grips. My Max XT 850 hides the person I really am. Unless you talk to my passenger, my wife who tried to ride on the 250 R back in 86. Thank God for snow drifts. And Bell helmets. Getting ready to add another pony to the stable. With age comes the cage. With a four point harness. 50” trails make trails the way I like them. Private and beautiful. But now comes the 64“ trails. And wider and don’t forget your dunes. While most people are working during the week at this time in my life, I get all of this with my better half to myself. Good luck to you in your life span to.

THE REAR CARGO BOX & REAR SEAT COST MORE THEN THE 4 WHEELER

Wow, if that's true, the 4 wheeler is quite the bargain!

Too bad there are no cup holders or at least for the back seat.

Is the passenger seat removable?
@yooper77537 ай бұрын
Yes, easily. My 2016 Can-Am Outlander 650 MAX DPS came with a small storage box that went in the place of passenger seat.

The headlight upgrade is awesome. Takes it from the ugly duckling of the 4x4 world to one mean looking machine. They are so bright on high a lightbar would be wasted money. The awesome power and torque of the 850 vtwin just eats up hills and will cruise at higher speeds easily. Biggest downside are the brakes, woefully lacking for a machine of this power and weight.

Value option ??? ALL Can -Ams are overpriced IMHO.😮

Value is different than price. I hear what you're saying though. I still believe that Can Am has a great reputation that's worth something over less expensive options.
