2024 Chevy Colorado LT vs Ford Ranger XLT | Feature & Pricing Breakdown!

In this video I compare the 2024 Chevy Colorado LT and the 2024 Ford Ranger XLT features, options, and pricing. With both of these trucks being a new generation, there are substantial changes to what they have to offer. The Chevy Colorado LT is mostly unchanged from 2023 but remains at a competitive price point starting in the low/mid $30k range while the Ranger is more expensive at over $40k has much more standard equipment. Here in Brazil, I rank these mid-size trucks as follows, from best to worst: 1) Toyota Hilux, 2) Ford Ranger, 3) Nissan Frontier, 4) Mitsubishi Triton, 5) Chevrolet S10. I don't consider the Rampage, Maverick or Toro real trucks.

You forgot that Ford will have 48" wide between rear wheel in bed to hold drywall. Not available in the Colorado any trim level.

As a 30 year veteran of strictly hanging drywall, most of the board that I’ve hauled has been 54”wide in a regular full sized truck with 48” in between the wheel wells. There’s always a way to work around it without an engineering degree. People don’t buy mini trucks to haul 14’x 54” drywall. Board houses deliver that for you. I wouldn’t haul anything but tampons in a Ranger anyway.

@@jasonveldhuis9471 Nobody is talking about hauling 54" wide drywall but yes there are ways to haul but a pain in the arse to screw with. Sorry you need to use tampons! ;)

@@jasonveldhuis9471agreed, carpenter here as well. I own a 23 Colorado. I’ve had to go get studs and drywall. The board just sits on top of the wheel wells, no big deal. If it’s anything over thirty pieces of rock I’m having it delivered anyway. You can definitely haul a lot of tampons if you want, they have a 1500lbs hauling capacity.

Ford comes with a 2 speed transfer case standard with 4wd.

I've driven the Colorado several times (even off road) but not the new Ranger. I should be able to get behind the wheel of the Ranger sometime over the next several months. The Colorado drives great and has plenty of power. The interior is basic but functional. The Bose sound system is good and the Ventilated seats are nice in the Z71.

@@CarsMadeSimple I have a 2019 Silverado LTZ and it has heated steering wheel and ventilated seats. It’ll be hard not to get a vehicle with those luxury’s not in it next time. lol. Love the 6.2 also
