Really impressed with how quiet that truck is. When you started the engine it didn't even really sound like a diesel. Seemed really smooth and compliant on the road, too. I've been ignoring Chevy since they updated their front end...it just bugs me...but this makes me want to give them another look.

I bought the High Country Version of this truck at the end of January and I love it. The Check engine light did come on at 371 miles and the dealer had to replace the EGR valve

The dually on the Chevy and the Dodge look sharper but if you get sideswiped in a Ford dually you can just take the fenders off and replace them

Ben, I wanted to buy a Silverado 2500 but after seeing you drive the dually, I am now unsure, what would you buy the 2500 or the 3500 dually? Is the 3500 hard to stay in the lane due to the wideness or you do not notice the difference. Will the dually 3500 get the same gas mileage as the 2500? It also seems that this was a good price at 78,000 however I am waiting for them to drop a little and will request 0% interest. Thank you, Robert (Love Your Channel - Excellent and Informative)

How much do the 3500 duallys weigh compared to a f450 dually

My F450 Limited had 4600 pounds of paid load. Subtract that from 14,000 pounds and you have the number. This truck had 5400 pounds of payload so subtract 14,000 pounds and you have the number also.

Do you need a CDL to drive this? Because of the GCWR being over 26,001lbs?

No, 26,000 lbs and below for your combined weight (truck, trailer, cargo) does not require cdl. Towing something over length in your state will require a cdl. 28' total trailer length in a lot of states, but check your state laws to be sure.

GM is allowing full torque in 1st gr with lockup in 1 tons. Not sure how long a 4.10 or 4.30 would last with the wrong person at the wheel. Load on trans might increase.

@@jeffwill4923 c'mon man 😁 GM can beef up the Ally a little more robust (don't worry these should have transmission cooler equipped) to get the beans gassing off of those 4.30s. incline climbing should let the engine just lug around 1750 to 2250 RPMs on a passing gear (say like 5-6 gear at 60-65 MPH since tow/haul mode locks out at least 8th gear and other highway cruising gears) unless the computer manage the shift points in what it wants to drive in to keep the engine from running out it's RPM range and management of the torque curve. I know this sounds complicated much like today's autos technology of cluster crap.🤯

Sadly, you can’t even go aftermarket for 4.10 or lower. Hopefully they’ll have something this year at SEMA but for now, there’s no way to change the ring and pinions in the 2020 and up

My take on dually or no would be the extra stability that you get if you're installing a wide camper body on the bed area..Other than that don't see any advantages..

factory steps that are in the bed should be put back on. the ones on it suck bad. they are short so if you have big feet or work boots youll scratch the fuck out of the rocker getting in and out
