Scrapping this movie is a bad idea. Pattinson as Batman is great, Colin as the Penguin is awesome. I would rather wait for a quality movie and go through another introduction of a new Batman. Reeves built a Gotham that is so interesting and fleshed out that it would be a shame to shelve it all together. Be patient people 😊

To put that in prospective Christopher Nolan did 3 Batman movies in the expand of 7 years from 2005-2012 not to mention he did passion projects in between the dark movies like The Prestige and Inception. In the other hand Matt Reeves was hired to make a Batman movie 2017 keep in mind without covid delays The Batman would have come out in 2021. So since 2022 Reevs hasn’t done anything; and no he didn’t directed The Penguin he only overseen it. So he has no excuse not to mention he hasn’t submitted a draft.

Winston is right. Lost did a season a year from 2004 to 2010, except for one 15 month gap between 3 and 4, 2006 and 2008 due to the writer's strike. When they came back they had shorter seasons with fewer episodes. The Sopranos looks to have been annual as well except for two occasions.

Pattinson needs to be the DCU Batman. Anything else is too confusing for regular fans. They nailed the aesthetic of Gotham and fleshed out the world with Penguin which was also a massive success. Rob is a good Batman, him being a man among gods is what makes the character interesting. Tease Robin in Batman 2 and let brave and the bold be the 3rd installment. Any studio knows you don’t gamble on resetting an IP when you already have a successful iteration. If it’s not broke don’t fix it

At this point, the Pattisson Batman has to be the DCU Batman. And to be honest, a lot of fans are heartbroken and pissed with the news of the delay. If we hear in the next few months that The Batman is the DCU Batman, then we'll be on board again and super excited.

Why are you guys so quick to give up on a movie just because of a 5 year gap from it's predecessor? That's ridiculous. Tons of franchises have large time gaps in between movies and they usually do well. This isn't new. Hell, look at the successful legacy sequels we've had recently. I'm aggravated as anyone at yet another delay for Batman 2. I don't know why it's so hard to write a Batman movie, but if it means making it the best it can be, then I'll wait. Be patient, guys. By the way, Kristian, you're mistaken about Lost. There were never any gaps between seasons. Seasons 4 and 5 started in January and season 6 in February instead of Fall like previous ones, but they still aired each year.

I honestly don’t know how anyone can defend Joker 2. It’s a movie that is bad on purpose. They had to train Lady Gaga how to sing off key. It hates you as a viewer and punishes you for watching the movie. And so far I can’t have anyone defend this movie without the whole “you just didn’t get it” nonsense. No, I got it. I’m not a fan of every choice, but I did like Joaquin’s performance and what they did with Arthur’s character even if it’s not accurate to who the joker is. I think it’s a much better movie without the joker title
