Thanks for taking us along for the assembly. Love how it's turning out. While it is alot of work, it sure must be nice to work with all those fresh, and more importantly, clean parts. I'm too used to rust or road dirt and grime falling in my eyes when working on stuff. 😅

You should do a Artec turbo manifold There cast stainless steel their flow tested for optimal performance with excellent wastegate priority, and they’re not a pain in the ass to bolt on like most JZ manifolds and they offer it in V band, twin scroll or single scroll check them out you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to see you on the podium this year Dan 🤙🏻

Dan, how harsh is the pendulum effect with the rear mount being pushed so far back as opposed to being mounted over or in front of the diff? I know you’ve likely experimented with different set ups and went with what works for your driving style.
@RADIndustries
@RADIndustries 11 ай бұрын
Over the years I switched radiator placement in this car 4 times. This current setup doesn’t have much pendulum feel. But if I could fit both the RAD and the Fuel cell over the diff the car would be fast and transition better. My next build will be like that.

Hello dan! Interesting video. I have a question about the headstuds. Do you finger tight them to the bottom of the block and leave them like that or do you turn them back from the bottom to not create pressure in the block? How do you do? Thanks!
@RADIndustries
@RADIndustries 10 ай бұрын
I don’t really turn them back but I don’t use a tool to tighten them just my had typically. I used do it how you described but I stopped about 5 years ago and just snug them with my hand

Not on the pro car, the new dart block is great but it’s 62lbs heavier than OEM. And I have never had a block issue in 18 years of being a 2JZ fanatic

For the head bolts/studs and the washers, I always drop them all in the same oil I'm using for the engine and let em sit for at least 30min. Then I put them on without really wiping them down after putting on ARP lube in specified spots (nut/bolt mating surface/threads)
@RADIndustries
@RADIndustries 11 ай бұрын
This is not a recommended method. Interesting
@josephmatuszak3855
@josephmatuszak3855 11 ай бұрын
@@RADIndustries Unless I'm putting thru water jackets (some engines do) I rarely put anything but the arp lube on the threads, but those washers, I have seen other guys do something like you, but take em down to metal instead of surface scuff to reduce the "sticking" or that false peak. It's just something I picked up a long time ago from building a LOT of diesel engines in the military, and the torque yeilds on diesel as you can imagine, are crazy. So anything we can do to make the fasteners smoother w/ less false peaks the better.
