Everyone settle down. A V8 is being developed for this car. The SST engines will come out first. If an inline, twin turbo 3.0 fits, a 4.6 to 5.0 v8 will drop right in. We will all do as we have done. I don’t like something, so I don’t have to buy it. Chillax, y’all remember the 80s? Front wheel drive and didn’t get turbos until almost 84.

@ Ha, well folks better wait and settle for this or the SST. The performance numbers are amazing regardless

It’s a shame that a 6.4 392 or 6.2 Hellcat engines won’t fit.

Great, fair review, most of the haters on the Internet arent buying the existing V8s either because they get 17MPG. This is probably the coolest looking EV available.

I am one of the haters who did buy a hellcat after they said they were axing them( no mark up paid). Also noone cares about mpg if you buy a v8 lol. people like me don't have the taste of the starbucks crowd.

Yup, at the 24 minute mark you get it, if you don’t want to hear the fake exhaust, just shut it off, others thought we wanted to hear them complaining about it for 10 minutes , good review

10/10 body but I hate the mountain lion noise it makes, maybe it feels better in person. I also hate the screens. And the materials. This feels like a big ass electric scooter I had when I was 8. They COOKED with the exterior. FIRE the interior designer

Give me a hybrid. A 45 mph electric front, and their turbo hurricanes in the back, give me slightly taller rims, GET RID OF THE SCREENS I can go without a clutch but I'll stick around and see what the banshe's 3 speed means

Interesting review of a vehicle that will bomb in the marketplace. Too big too heavy too expensive and the performance is lacking. I am on my second ev lease for the family and this cool idea of an electric muscle car falls short in too many areas other than looks. This would be a pass for me personally and I believe many other consumers as well. This will be a slow selling bomb. I was hopeful it would have been better.

I thought for a second dodge paid you to do this, but you came to your senses at the end. These cars would have been a hit if it was released in 2018. But now, you can find more powerful EVs with more tech, for less. And no, its not for us traditionals, they are targeting a demographic that act the part but dont have the heart.

Is the car a little cool in its own unique way? Maybe. But there are too many massive issues. "Electric Muscle Car" Almost 100k after Dodge's notorious fees and markups. 6k lbs. Controversial fake exhaust that seems obnoxious at times. Performance EV thats not even that fast comparing it to other EVs. Its too big for a coupe.

@bryanhallman8183 Ай бұрын
"Too big for a coupe?" Have you ever stood next to a Bentley Continental? Yeah, didn't think so.
@RipleyandSwoo
@RipleyandSwoo Ай бұрын
@bryanhallman8183 You don't think I've ever stood next to a Bentley? A Bentley is a luxury car first. So that's to be expected. A muscle car should worry less about how big and roomy it can be made. You don't buy one to haul the kiddos to soccer practice.

@bryanhallman8183 Ай бұрын
@@RipleyandSwoo Not if you can honestly say that a 2025+ Dodge Charger is "too big to be a coupe." Also, look at the dimensions of the first 3 gens of the Chargers, cars that were considered "mid-size" at the time that they were produced. Today, they would be considered "huge"... if you like that feeling of claustrophobia, drive Camaros. Being able to accommodate adults in the back seat, and with a decent cargo area is actually a good thing. It means that it fulfill the role of being a daily driver, not just a toy to take to cars and coffee.

So let me help people with something: 1. It's barely quicker than the old Charger. It's slower in the 1/4 miles. And amazingly, you can grab the previous generation HELLCAT for as much or less, than the price of this thing. 2. It's not going to keep Mopar enthusiasts happy, because Mopar fans enjoyed giving a fat middle finger to the EPA and government. This is the last company that was representing common sense people, and then they took their customer base and just threw it out the window. 3. Just watch the Throttle House review. It's all you need to know. 4. If you have to use the term "muscle car DNA", I know you read the script they gave you of the overview lol. No, it doesn't: that's like saying DNA itself totally keeps its characteristic of a double helix, it just doesn't stay compromised of nucleotides lol. uh, no, it's got to have the nucleotides guys. Muscle cars are American-made two door coupes, with a powerful ENGINE, designed for high performance driving. This thing doesn't check any of those boxes lol. 5. The software is TERRIBLE. buggy, convoluted, and the power deliver is all over the place. The one thing EVs are supposed to do well, it can't do. 6. The external speaker is easily the worst thing to ever happen to the automotive world since the Jaguar ad and concept were released. 7. Never forget that, besides this abomination along with the destruction of Jeep and really RAM, this was blessed and done under a regime that fired the proper software and hardware engineers during development, and the rest was patched together by outsourced labor. This product, helped contribute to the CEO of the entire conglomerate, getting fired, and also contributed to the previous decent CEO of Dodge, "retiring", as he saw the writing on the wall during development.
