I would purchase one if they put a real Daytona wing (24" high) on the back. They need to make hybrid HEMI cars to help with their gas mileage ratings. There is nothing like the sound of a HEMI at full throttle. You see what happened to the EVs in Chicago's deep freeze weather. None of them would charge...then how are you going to get to work. EVs are not reliable in extreme heat or cold. Hybrid is the way to go.

The price hikes are due to the EPA, not Stellantis or Dodge. Because the Hemi gasoline cars didn't meet the current CAFE (corporate average fuel economy) standards, about 25% of the sticker price in the last two years goes straight to the federal government. So, if you bought a Hellcat Charger and paid $75,000 for it, financed over a five year period, Dodge immediatly had to cut a check to the EPA for about $25,000 - not spread out over five years, right away. That's why they're all moving to the electrics anyway. I know Tim Kuniskis and Ralph Gilles, they know the cars are bad and they do not want to build them. Both told me they will be leaving Dodge before the electric vehicle boondoggle blows up and the feds blame the automakers for forcing people into cars they knew weren't going to work - same as the government did with the housing bubble years ago, they blamed the banks and called them "predatory lendors" after having forced the banks to give loans to anyone with a pulse or they were going to lose their FDIC backing. These guys are hardcore car guys, they genuinely love cars, but they're not being allowed to produce what they would want because the Democrats won't budge an inch on absurd pollution standards. CARB in California is a prime example. Stupidity on an epic scale. No diesel-powered 18 wheelers in Cali by 2026 if I'm not mistaken? How in God's earth is ANYTHING going to get delievered out there once they stop letting diesel trucks across the state line? The problem isn't with Dodge or any of the Big Three, the problem is Democrats running batcrap crazy over-regulating everything. Don't believe me, go find a five-gallon toilet anywhere still for sale. The next step in their parade is to make gasoline itself so extraordinarily expensive it will be cost prohibative for people to keep their gas-powered cars and trucks on the road. Nice video, but I can't see Dodge offering the 392 Hemi in any car ever, unless we have a major change in leadership on the national and state levels.
@josephfritz10988 ай бұрын

What I don’t love is the government forcing them to be the only option in the future when there are many more ways to go about being clean. Hydrogen combustion produces zero CO2 but still makes NOx. With water injection, a hydrogen combustion engine will be completely clean. That means no CO2, no NOx, nothing. That also means no more emissions equipment for water injected HICE engines. No catalytic converters, no EGR, no def fluid (since I know Cummins is looking to use hydrogen to replace their diesels), none of that emissions tech bs

Should have just kept the charger a 4 door and the challenger the 2 door version of the charger. When charger came back as a 4 door critics complained about the extra doors and I agreed, but what Dodge did in marketing made the 4 door a muscle car with many being owned by younger consumers which wasn't the case when performance vehicles offered 2 and 4 door versions of the same vehicle. Younger crowd wanted 2 doors never 4 doors. Just like the Chevy chevelle in 1970 had both 2 and 4 door versions most would rather have 6 cylinder 2 door over 8 cylinder 4 door. I like having the challenger and the charger being the same vehicle with the doors being the difference (besides manual transmission).

I particularly entertain the idea of having performance shops across this great nation being busy with HEMI swaps. Reasons are it will allow all acceptable trims that once was burdened with lack of power to receive an SRT treatment along with any next gen platforms that accept the 16:24 HEMI powertrain. 2nd it will be deemed inclusive abroad the entire Mopar fleet. In essence our generation will be privy to learn about our past pioneers who Hot Rod and souped up whatever they were able to. 🤔 This could be BIG!

Can you please tell them to look into hydrogen combustion? Tell them that a hydrogen combustion engine also needs water injection in order to be completely clean. Yes they produce zero CO2 running on hydrogen alone but it still produces NOx emissions. That’s where the water injection comes in, it lowers the combustion temperature which eliminates the NOx emissions. With no emissions of either kind coming from the exhaust, there will be no need for EGR, catalytic converters, and other emissions equipment that is found on current cars (soft limiters included). Ofc these engines can also be backed up by hybrid assistance. Also a big helpful tip, hydrogen engines love boost, superchargers in particular. Tho maybe there could be various boost options. Turbos, electric turbos, centrifugal supercharger (belt or crank driven), twin screw, tvs, and roots superchargers, or an electric supercharger (e turbos and e superchargers are tricky to figure out but an e turbo has an electric motor between the impeller and compressor, and still uses exhaust gases to spool, while the e supercharger is still belt driven but also has an electric motor). I have various other ideas but I’ll leave those in a separate comment
@fadedsoul238 ай бұрын
Here are those separate ideas: turn the hurricane engines into a family that ranges from a turbo single cylinder all the way to a quad turbo inline 8. From here, u combine them to make their V counterparts. This means TT V2 all the way through 8 turbo v16. Then u can do this same process to make a lineup of flat engines, also from TT flat twin to 8 turbo flat 16. All of these of course would be hybrid (or have an option to be hybrid, mandatory beyond 8 cylinders). They would also run on cleaner fuels so there could be multiple variants for different fuels. By now I’m sure ur wondering what these 24 engines would go into, let me tell you. A modular sports car family that starts with the little turbo single cylinder and works its way up to the inline 8, v16, and flat 16. When the lineup gets in the ten cylinder range, those would be the new vipers (flat 10 and v10). These would probably be midengine. Size would obviously vary because why would u need a 5 foot rear end for some of those smaller engines? Anyways those are my ideas to help save stellantis as a whole because all of those engines and cars can be rebadged and sold as whatever they want

Dodge has fresh patents on a new hemi. And apparently, the ev charger has a transmission tunnel. Fingers crossed!

If I can still get the 5.7 I will be happy I can make the power I need

If they are going to compete, this car needs to be 3800 lbs or less. Also, i still think this generation hemi is done, not the hemi engine it self amd or they will have a different v8 engine altogether, something that can compete with the coyote engine and can rev higher.

Flatplane hemi with a gt350 style crank and twin turbos would be nice

Dodge came out with direct connection for a reason. Make it easy of engine swaps and they can still cash in on the engines.

One problem.... There are only so many hemis out in circulation it will be a thrid party company refurbishing hemi long blocks to send to dealerships or a company producing the long block altogether..... Anyway its a lucrative business... Although if the hurricane has GNX potential, alot of ppl will buy I6 regardless because most coupes now are 6 cylinder... With current technology, they can make a hurricane sound like a 4.0- 4.2 V8 at the very least....

The hurricane is a inline 6. Not a V6. Completely different sound profile. Think BMW like sound.

Honestly i love the look of the new charger, but it needs a hemi for me to like it... id still be hesitant if it had the new twin turbo but id give it a shot...

They should bring back their pony car in the Barracuda! One of the sickest cars of all time. I agree with all wheel drive and over 1k hp.
@MaddNomad10158 ай бұрын
They should’ve brought it back awhile ago to become a pseudo sports car/muscle car like the Mustang and Camaro. Probably would’ve done well

They need to bring back the 6.1 hemi!

If they have to use electric the hellcat should be a hybrid assisted Hellcat 6.2 supercharged 707 horsepower making 999 horsepower with the added electric motor assist all wheel drive
@fadedsoul238 ай бұрын
That’s what I’ve been saying, hybrid hemis would have been so overpowered!

The auto manufacturers need to dictate to the government on what kind of vehicles they will be produced

I think it's gorgeous. The V8 days are gone. It'll be electric and maybe also hybrid with Stellantis' new 6 cylinder engine.

I am currently having my Magnum RT motor rebuild,And have a stashed away 5.7 hemi motor from the year 2006 was only 24,000 miles.. and I’m going to start buying more 5.7 GEN three early additions with and with out the vvt. Because if they do away with a V-8 motor at some point, then these motors are going to gain value, and as I noticed recently, they have gained value ,They already are gaining value.you could’ve got a 5.7 as low as 1600 bucks ,and now they’re up to 2200 and plus average 31, 3200 hundred . so I plan on hoarding away six on top of the two already have For me and my two boys And grandson .and i will grap 6.1 or 6.4 as well.
