The 184 is probably the way to go but I don't think the 178 will feel too short if you're interested in accessing more of a sharper carve.

Hello, I have a question; I am 178 cm tall barefoot and weigh approximately 80 kg. I have an advanced level in skiing, but I have always rented skis, although I do have my own boots. Do you recommend the ones that are 178 cm or the ones that are 172 cm? Thank you

The Brahma is more torsionally stiff but the Wingman is longitudinally stiffer.

The Black adds a layer of carbon, but that's about it. One of the other differences is that the Black Edition only comes with the system binding so with the CTi, you can get it flat and add a binding for increased all-mountain versatility. Kind of depends how you want to use the ski. If you've been deliberating between the CTi and a Montero AR, the flat CTi is a more direct comparison.

How do these compare to the black crows virtus, are they similar?

Pretty similar. The Vertis is very crisp, energetic and engaging, especially for a ski without metal. The Elan takes the stiffness and performance to the next level by adding metal and carbon to the mix, but the overall footprint and style of ski is pretty close. The build and flex are the big differences, as this allows the Elan to operate in a higher speed carved turn with more stability and power. Vertis is happier in shorter to mid-range turns at more moderate speeds.

@@joe-by1cd Due to the lack of metal, there is a dampness ceiling at high speeds. The skis are a lot more comfortable in the mid range.
