Red Bull's Max Verstappen is on the pole for Saturday's sprint race in Austria...but it was a close-run thing, as ever in 2024. Lando Norris qualified his McLaren-Mercedes only 0.093sec away, with team-mate, Oscar Piastri, P3, ahead of George Russell (Mercedes), Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) and Sir Lewis Hamilton in the other factory Mercedes. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc starts P10 after an engine problem in SQ3 - and neither Aston Martin-Mercedes made it to SQ3. In this video Peter Windsor details the two laps of Max and Lando as well as other key performance issues.
