Just do you. I always do my own style and unintentionally start trends anyway. My mom says modeling scouts look for people who are confident and stick out a little. Everyone has their own tones warm/cool that pop on them, so a particular trending color may not work for them. I'm still figuring out which tones and colors work for me and last year I discovered pinkish mauve colors and I think warm? Fall vibe blues make my grayish blue eyes pop. Also, I wore big bows and flower headbands from like 4th-8th grade (2009ish-2016ish) before jojo siwa made them a thing. Even the bully in my class was trying to copy my style. One girl in my class made me 2 big headbands for my birthday that the teacher said I couldn't wear at school bc they were too distracting 😅. One thing people love that I wear that hasn't aged was when I have weird novelty items like a rainbow zipper bracelet. (It’s a bunch of zipper handle things on a string) I had another I bought at my therapy office as one of those fidget or stress devices that was actually a zipper that zipped and it would sort of split into 2 bracelets that were connected at the end, but it needs fixing and the color faded. I don't go out much anymore, but I saw some mismatch colored zipper earrings that match with it, that I would totally wear if my ears were pierced. 😂

@@nicksmom3542 The bad news is that it is cumulative. When you have prices that go up 6% on year, then 9% the next, those prices going up another 3% not a huge help. I know people who can't afford to eat meat and quality vegetables now. Look at what happened to our homeless rate in 2023. We were better off during the Great Depression. I volunteer at animal rescue, and every animal we have now is from an eviction cause by electricity costs or rent prices( especially in states where property taxes have increased). I cant do 4 more years of this. And look at gas prices. And now check out our stock market falling. I feel so bad for the elderly who retired because Covid forced them into it thinking they had enough money, and now what do they have? You think "oh good they insane prices are only going up another 3% ( which in reality means 30%)" is putting a smile on their face? Well...there is a simple solution; Everyone who is happy with the prices of their grocery bill, vote for Kamala.

I’m so in for “distinguished dressing”. Finally! I love the way people dresses in the 40s, 50s, and 60s. People took pride in how they looked which was nice. There something so appealing about a well put together fashionable modest outfit. Think Marilyn, Audrey, And Grace Kelly. Always looked lovely. ❤
@sassy-savvy2 ай бұрын
I'm 23 and even though I'm a Californian near L.A. I feel so uncomfortable and vulnerable in short revealing clothes. Oof long rant: I used to wear some of that stuff as teenager, but my style has changed and I feel much more confident and safe with more modest clothing. Some of it was just growing out of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for dressing for comfort and expressing yourself. What you wear doesn't mean you are "asking for it" from creeps. My mom was raised all over the world (mostly Germany and Japan) were the cultures there are still very modest dressing (except cities like Tokyo, harajuku, maybe sections of Berlin). So I think I am just very influenced by the culture at home. Like it is still scandalous to wear a tanktop in the summer in Japan. Tbh I feel that wearing a tanktop out in public for me is very uncomfortable, bc I worry about my armpit stubble or stink and showing cleavage even though my breasts are on the smaller size. At home I wear them as pj tops or under thin clothes so my bra doesn't show under it. The cute outfits many streamers, content creators, and celebrities wear are more like something I would wear for a Instagram pic or KZbin video at home. It's for a PERFORMANCE, like wearing leotard and tights for ballet. It's a shame, but people do judge you based on looks. I just like looking educated and classy for my age. Unfortunately, the world is a very dangerous place for women. Bikini pics and wearing a sports bra with leggings for a jog at the park are all things that will draw unwanted attention and increase the risk of becoming the target of some unsavory individuals. The only place you can get away with it is at the beach, poolside, or maybe at a resort. (Although for the beach if you go into a shop or restaurant you should change into normal clothes or else it's technically "indecent exposure" bc it's not a resort territory for vacations it's a city.)

We’ve had a super-hot summer so far, the hottest on record, where I live, and there are still months of heat ahead, but that never stops me from checking out, and buying, autumn fashions! I think it’s most people’s favorite fashion season, I know it’s mine. I can’t wait to wear blazers, boots and sweaters again, or at least, just not be so hot and sweaty. This summer I finally completed my all-linen summer capsule wardrobe, which has helped a lot, but autumn’s layering is just so much fun! It’s definitely not too early for a fall trend review.❤
