We call the jacket Princess Kate is wearing a ‘wax jacket’. It is a staple for British countryside living and is waterproof, so they are always ‘in style’ in the countryside here.

Traditional wax and oilskin jackets are very stylish when worn in the proper setting! They are brilliant at repelling mud, dirt, animal hair and at being waterproof even in a downpour! I've had mine for nearly 20 years; they are the must have classic of country wear.

One style that I think always looks wrong/cheap is ankle jeans. It looks like they could not find jeans that were long enough to fit their legs. Flare ankle jeans remind me of clown clothing. I can't wait for this trend to go because it shortens the legs, makes people look heavier, and it looks like they bought cheap (even high end designer) knock offs that didn't have the quality control to give enough material. Great video as usual!

Why do you care if it’s in style or not? You said you don’t like it so you don’t have to wear it. Maybe you’re projecting the fact that it doesn’t look good on you. And that’s okay. There are many items I don’t like, and guess what, I don’t wear them and I don’t care who does.

I completely disagree with your statement. I don't think ankle jeans look "wrong/cheap". I consider myself a stylish person and I wear ankle jeans and little sneakers often in the summer. I think ankle jeans with a little sneaker or flat shoe looks really cute. Personally, I don't like flare ankle jeans either but I do like the straight ankle jean. That being said, I don't think a flare ankle jean is "wrong/cheap" just because I don't like it. Body porportion and size has a lot to do with how good ankle jeans look. If one has thick ankles, well of course they won't look good. They also look better on women who don't have heavy legs.

Dear Ms Anna... Logos all over the place, as you well mention it is...NOT elegant, I completely agree as you also so kindly informed us before; elegant (and wealthy) people usually...mmm...do...NOT go out with clothes that have logos on them; they are so discreet! Point taken Ms Anna! ;) Yes! Yes! Yes! TO DRESS...for the occasion! Ayayaye! Young and not so young (tee-hee) people must hear that, Ms Anna! Thank you for giving information about THAT also. I really deeply enjoyed your video Ms Anna; pointers that...we all need! :) helene

Great video, Anna! I am so sorry you have to deal with people giving you their unsolicited opinions. Some people are just so rude! I don’t understand what happened to the rule “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all!”. I will never understand why people feel the need to critique other’s appearances. SMH 🤦♀️

@@SugarBooger10 I am sure you are correct, but it still isn’t okay to comment negatively on someone’s appearance. If someone is commenting on video quality or content, that is different, or if a content creator asks for peoples opinions on say their new hairstyle or what they are wearing, then obviously, such comments are requested, but to comment negatively on someone’s appearance just because you don’t like how somebody looks just isn’t okay.

I think those waffle knits in a lot of these pieces look cheap, too. I don’t think Henley sweaters are elegant, either, they’re too casual, like other athletic wear. Also those items, like from Amazon, that have those mixed patterns, like blocks of exploded leopard mixed with blocks of florals and stripes. They’re so hideous and cheap-looking. Amazon has an occasional goodie, but mostly the clothes are ultra-cheap polyester ones incorporating design elements that are at least 20 years out of date. I agree about comfort in apparel, it’s essential. Last autumn I bought a beautiful knit dress from Sezane, but took it off within five minutes because the knit is unbearably itchy. I had one of my usual silk tees underneath, too, but still couldn’t stand it. I’ll have to sell it on, I can’t imagine wanting to wear it even for an hour’s errands. I bought it to be warm and comfy at home in, fat chance.

Want to know what a cheap look is? Wearing your freaking phone in your hip pocket. To me, that is thee most trashiest look you can wear. Another look I’m starting to see again from a few years ago is the muffin top. I’m seeing young girls/women with their stomachs hanging out with too small shirts that may have fit them five years ago.

Yeah I'm very sceptical of bold prints and loud colors tbh. I will on occasion wear a shirt with a bold print in muted or low contrast colors, or a classic print like houndstooth or pinstripe, but that's about it. I also avoid visible logos as much as I can. If it's just a small one, sure I'll live. As for jeans I do like some gradient in the color because I feel like that's more flattering for my leg shape than a solid color, but I stay away from the clearly distressed look. With peep toe shoes... eh, I feel like it can work for sandals and other very lightweight shoes, but not for boots no. As for really warm jackets, I think fur lined leather jackets, and fur coats can look elegant. I have a mink fur coat that I will wear on the absolute coldest days of winter. It's very cosy but doesn't look frumpy at all. A little controversial perhaps, but imo it is a timeless piece. Otherwise, a nicely made puffer jacket (in maybe a cream color or muted pastel) with a cinched in waist also looks elegant for cold weather.

I was wondering about something. In several of your videos you showed us some items on you and then said that you would decide what to keep. How does that work exactly? Do all stores give you that option or only some? I assume you have a period of time to decide, like two weeks? And then if you decide to return it, do you just put it back in the packaging it arrived in and... use some tape to seal it or something? And then how do you send it back? Do you have to take it to the post office or some other place? And do you pay for the delivery yourself, both ways? If you couldn't guess, I'm not from the US :) Here, most stores will only give your money back if the item is damaged, and it falls to you to prove that you didn't damage it yourself. Some allow returns if it didn't fit you, but you pay for the delivery yourself both ways and it's a giant hassle to organize it, so I very seldom even bother to order something online.
