The tailgate cam on the top of gate is probably the best thing ever. Problem is most of the guys that could benefit from that option will never see it on the lower trim levels. That should be a standard camera on all Fords.

Aside from having a snowmobile in the back of your truck with the tailgate down why would you need it?

@@Powderproject13 I’m in construction and the tailgate is always down carrying all sorts off different things. Having that option is nice so you can see behind you backing up. Guys that work for a living will appreciate it.

I’m that guy too. I have an 8’ box and am constantly hauling with my tailgate down. I can almost guarantee I’ll break that cam if I had it on my truck. I hear ya tho. Helpful but imo not needed. Just another gadget.

So I have said in the past that I didn’t mind the styling of the new Fords as long as they had LED lights. But after seeing it setting beside the Chevy I think I’ve changed my mind lol. I think in the future JB if you’re wanting to try to prop up the Ford you better show it alone or with another Ford with halogen lights. Now as a Chevy guy, the added technology in the tailgate is a good idea. Especially the camera since everything has a backup camera now. So I’d say that will be copied for sure and that’s a good thing. This needs to be offered on lower trim though. The 2000 watt inverter would be nice too but not for an extra $1000 that it cost on most trims from Ford. So I guess I’m saying I am all for that as long as it’s not an extra cost because for an extra $1000 you can buy a portable inverter/generator with anywhere from more to a lot more power that’s also not tied to the truck. So that’s nice, but not for extra money. I know you always emphasize that certain features are standard on one trim and optional on the other but ultimately what difference does it make when the final price is higher? You could get an LTZ Chevy with the Z71 Sport and have every option the High Country has with maybe the exception of power running boards for $4000-5000 less money. Sure it would have more money spent on options but it’s still less money overall. And the same is true for the Ford. Sure you could spend an extra $10,000 for a Platinum but for what gain? That’s the trouble with all of these high trim levels. It drives the price up on the trucks across the board. And lastly, the Ford 10 speed and GM 10 speed have nearly identical gear ratios. I mean we are talking hundredths of a difference in ratios. You wouldn’t be happy with a 7.3 gas engine either, which is fine. Most diesel fanboys won’t be satisfied going with a gas. You’re going from a turbo diesel to a naturally aspirated small block gas engine. There’s no amount of gearing that is going to make up that difference.

I have to say I'm impressed with how much you actually know about trucks. I can tell you actually use a truck instead of walk around them and review them. You have to live with a truck to really find out because everything that you can point out visually is only initial perspective and doesn't determine which is better. A couple things you might want to include are, Show the clarity of the camera displayed, which seats will be wrinkled in 60k miles, which one holds its value the best, which one puts the power down more efficiently, which one gets better fuel mileage, which one comes with gooseneck, which one holds up better over 200k miles and so on. That being said keep up the good work!

The tailgate features on the ford are pretty awesome. I hope GM brings back a tailgate handle as an option. I can’t tell you the number of times of tailgate has frozen and I have to yank on it while simultaneously pushing that stupid button.

Both are nice looking trucks with each having advantages over the other. JB, I've come to the conclusion that most of your followers are Chevy and Ford guys. When you read the comments after a post about a Chevy or a Ford everybody is very civil. Post about a ram and these guys go ballistic. I personally would be proud to own any of them and never bag on the other guys for their choice. There are plenty of videos out there of guys that own Fords and Chevys that complain what pieces of junk they are. It is simple for me to choose RAM because I get employee discount and Chrysler put a roof over my head and fed and clothed me as my father worked there his whole life. I'd be an idiot not to save the $10,000. But I certainly don't take solace in ripping on other people's trucks just because I didn't choose the one that they have. Seems like many of your viewers do this. Keep up the great work and have a good one.

I prefer the Ford Super Duty and currently own 3 of them. I have driven a Dodge/Ram diesel that belongs to a friend and one of my cousins. The Rams have stepped up with their interiors but they don't hold up as well as the Chevy and it doesn't keep up with the Ford's durability. My gas super duty will pull right along with the Duramax. Pulling a 37 ft all steel horse trailer one of the Duramax die hards pulling a lighter trailer I didn't need to buy my last Super Duty because his Duramax had to work to keep up with me. Both Chevy and Ford have made great improvements in the last ten years and Ram could listen to Gale Banks to make some changes to get the Ram up to a level with the others. Rams fit the budget for a heavy truck because of a lower price point, but you get what you pay for. But, if you are looking for ride comfort in a heavy duty truck while running empty buy the Chevy but if you want to ride better loaded buy the Ford!

Your gas super duty pulls right along with what duramax? A 2004? You’re a dreamer if you are comparing apples to apples. Aka model years. Your 7.3 will be in the rear view mirror of any 800-900 foot lb model year duramax. ( your buddys) truck must be fucked up. You’re trying to compare a motor with literally double the torque and more horsepower to boot. And they would both be wearing the 10 speed so how exactly do you figure this
@brianconner4854
@brianconner4854 7 ай бұрын
And yes I own a 24 model Duramax. As well as a deleted 15 Duramax. And I’ve pulled the same trailers with a new 7.3 gas loaner. My 15 will walk all over a 7.3 gas no comparison. Let alone the 24 with the 10 speed.
@alvinhyman6838
@alvinhyman6838 7 ай бұрын
Not talking brand new trucks because the Duramax didn't always have a 10 speed . And the one talking that he's running a deleted truck had better look out for EPA because they have been targeting those that like to advertise that they are running illegally. Also may want to take a look at Gale Banks take on Chevy's big mistake of programming the trans shift points way outside of the Duramaxs peak power range. In fact the only time it operates in that range is 1st gear. Try pulling a load up Fancy Gap then let me know how well your truck pulls!

Can we get some medium duty truck thoughts? I am curious how a GM 5500 stacks up against a Ford 550 or a Kenworth, Freightliner, etc
@forzaforce6325

Comparing pickups such as the F-550 and the Sierra 5500 against semi trucks like Kenworth, Freightliner would be totally inappropriate. And also KW, Freightliner cost 5x more than the standard pickups.

The sonar and camera on the top of the Ford tailgate is great, I’m blown away that Ford doesn’t include the bed liner or wheel well liners for the price of these trucks. If I could build my own truck out of the big three I would go: Cummins engine, Allison transmission, Ford driveline, GMS front end and a mix of the Ford and Ultimate Denali interior 😁😁😁

Love the videos, have a 23 king Ranch and a 24 platinum on order , do you think you could do a comparison on head lights and tail lights at night?? Can’t believe they put halogen lights in my taillights in a 100,000$ truck not happy, if I decide to keep the truck I’ll change out the taillights on the king Ranch, if possible do a comparison on platinum Carmelo seats compared to king ranch would be awesome . Thanks

F250 and F350 do not have the same suspension, unless they are Tremors. The HCTP F250 is close to the 350 in spring count, but thickness of leaves also matters.

Here in Michigan if you want to order a truck...Ford wait is 7-8 months, Chevrolet is 3-4 months. Ford shows what gear you are in, with Chevy I couldn't find that option, but they do have a manual gear shift mode. But the salesman didn't know how it worked. Ford also has a neat backup option when hooking up the trailer that Chevy does not. Chevy offer a heated seat option back only or seat and back which I really like. Personally I'm on the fence.

I really think power numbers are pointless for these trucks. All these trucks have way more power than their frames/suspensions/brakes can really even utilize. Truck guys just obsess over 25lbft

That's why I always say you can tell some of these guys aren't real truck owners(not JB, but some commenters). These are NOT race cars. They're supposed to be workhorses. Im more interested how they tow/haul, work-related features like mirrors, exhaust brake, driveline(axles, brakes, etc) vs which goes 0-60 the fastest.

Considering the history of fudging power output numbers that all of the Big Three are known for I'd be hard pressed to believe what they are claiming for HP. and torque . If Ford is still offering 4.30 gears they are trying to compensate for a lack of power .

I’ve never commented on your videos EVER. But just like this video here you seem to constantly bash GM trucks but yet In still you continue to purchase them. I can assure you that you definitely don’t know what the (h:$),&-“@€) you’re talking about. First and foremost lets talk about POWER. Your talking about numbers written on paper not power through the rear end going to the ground. I have a 2019 GMC 3500HD dual rear wheel with the 6speed Allison 3:73 still in stock form. I pull a 36ft all steel livestock trailer and a 40ft flatbed with a 12ft power tail ramp. Yep I haul cows and heavy machinery and equipment daily. I have friends with the Ford F250 and F350 who can’t hold a candle to my truck. Flat out Hwy and hills I run off and leave them. I also have a 2024 GMC 3500 HD 10 speed and a Chevrolet 6500 which does the same. Ram can’t get out of its own way on a hot 🥵 day in July drinking margaritas salted on the rocks. Any day of the week rent yourself a 2024 HO F350 and l will outrun it in my 2019 3500 HD with my cattle trailer loaded and you running bobtail the load your F350 2024 same weight or a bit heavier on my GMC and blow your doors off. Ready when you are JB !!!

Chevy much better looking. Always - I have seen a few new fords that look pretty darn good . Stance ; grill ; ect . The Chevy looks more refined always. Under the hood not a clustered up mess like the fords. For me gm .

Although the Ford is a nice truck, it can only tow 1200 pounds more than Chevy. Secondly, the Fords side profile has looked the same for over 20 years. The only changes being the front end and small updates on the tailgate. The Chevys gauge cluster is more configurable than you know. It seems as when you are in one truck you will praise it over the other and vice versa. Kinda conflicting. So, in conclusion, I think it all boils down to preference.
