2024 Ford Ranger vs 2024 Toyota Tacoma | What's The Best Midsized Truck?

👋 Lets compare back to back the all new 2024 Ford Ranger against the all new 2024 Toyota Tacoma! Now in todays comparison these aren't exact competitive specs. The Ranger is about $40k and the Tacoma is about $50k. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4X4 still has the fabric interior, but has some nice tech features as well. The Ford Ranger is a more basic XLT with a Sport package and 2 wheel drive. For styling I think the Tacoma looks much better overall with a bold style. Ranger is a bit more subtle. But still a nice update over the last generation. The screens in the Ford area really nice and I like how they display information. The dash is a bit plain looking tho and the overall interior is a bit simple. The Tacoma has nice screens too, however they look a bit more simple and the infotainment screen is certainly just stuck on. But the dash and rest of interior look very cool! Sees feel nicer in the Tacoma and there are better uses of materials. While while both trucks are all plastic, the Tacoma's feel nicer. The back seats are better in the Tacoma, however there is more leg room in the Ranger. Driving both trucks, they both have plenty of power from the 4 cylinder turbo engines and the transmissions do the job well. The Ranger offers two V6 options which is a great touch to see! The Tacoma has a hybrid version of the same 4 cylinder turbo as their only engine upgrade. Overall I think the Tacoma is a slightly better truck with better interior design and exterior looks. The Ranger offer more engines and is a bit more affordable even when you spec them identically. But I think the Tacoma is the winner overall even at a high price spec for spec. Both are good options tho and greatly improved over the last generations.

Definitely a great value. I love the screens. Just a bit cheap feeling on the top of the dash. And the fabric isn't as nice as Tacoma. So I think Tacoma is nicer. But the Ranger could be spec'd nicer for still a lower price.

Ranger is a ripoff. Reliability is shit. It looks stupid. No one wants one. I put a grand down to get on a wait list last Sept. Like thousands of other people! for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX Hybrid. TRD off road. - 326 Hp 460 ft lbs. of torque! And up to 30 mpg.

2024 Ford Ranger The Ford Ranger T6 has been popular in most countries outside North America since 2012 to 2021. Available in various trim levels such as Wildtrak, Limited, Raptor, XL and XLT, the Southeast Asian version is pretty much assembled in Thailand before exporting it straight to most countries, including Malaysia. Does the North American model have the optional 2.0L twin-turbodiesel inline-4 engine?

I drove the 2024 tacoma and 2021 ranger (they didnt have a 24 ranger). The tacoma has more low end torque but overall I think i liked the ranger better. Road noise lower and i wasnt really a fan of the tacoma interior.

@@marklihsu you can get a Tacoma with power seats for $45K, look that up first..they seem to range between $45-50 depending on options. You get a turn key in the XLT..for 2024, I’d rather have push button and manual seats, than a turn key..

S-10 chevy, Colorado, Ranger, Dodge Dakota have all been around as competition. Still Tacoma holds the top spot.

Some of those haven't been in production for decades! But the newest generation Ranger, Colorado, Canyon and Frontier are all pretty strong competitors. I think GM is making a great truck now. Hopefully I can check one out!
