I got one of these as a company vehicle a week ago. Only has the tow package and safety package, and that really gets you just about everything you need unless you’re really soft. $41.5k. This truck looks and feels very premium for the price point, and in my opinion, it blows the Tacoma out of the water in terms of value.

Just bought Solar Flare with the technology package Love my truck The red dot with light bulb on top of the screen is an easy access to you lights 😊

Denali is the next highest trim, then AT4X. The technology package is the reason this truck has HUD and 360 camera, it’s not standard on the AT4. The Premium package gives you the leather seats, ventilated, and memory. This package is a must IMO. The payload cited is the highest available, check door jamb for each particular truck. I would guess around 1400 on this one. I like the solar flare but it is polarizing. The Canyon AT4 offers great value for sure, especially when compared to Tacoma. The Chevy Colorado can be had for less but not all trims have the factory 2 inch lift like the Canyon and you lose out on some of the goodies. The ZR2 at $48k seems like a steal though. Tacoma also has less rear seat space. You can get the hybrid engine but it cost $3700 more so you are paying for the 326 HP and 465 lb ft torque for sure. Toyota does offer a manual in some trims as well as a long bed option.

Good review, not a fan of the color, yes I would pick the Canyon over the Toyota, as a matter of fact I did, in March of this year I bought a 2024 Canyon Denali and absolutely love it. I was a Toyota fan for years until this year, I traded in my 2022 Tundra for the Canyon Denali, no regrets. Thanks

NO YOU DON'T for the headlight 'switch' -- the red 'light' circle is ALWAYS present, and immediately pops up the options...

You don’t have to do what you did to access the headlights. There’s a light icon on the top left corner of the screen that takes you right there.

Wow..50K for a 4 cylinder midsize pickup! Ouch! Like the low mounted headlamps..create less glare and distribute light better. Instrument cluster is great..also in/out color coordination. Interior room is a bit tight. Infotainment/manual controls interface appears to be needlessly complicated. Engine noise on acceleration will always remind you this is a large 4 cylinder engine. Overall appearance and color are sharp..but value is a bit questionable. Perhaps a base hybrid Maverick might better work for most buyers?? Very well done review..as expected. You know and love vehicles! .
