@@a73bu29 FYI he was towing his fifth wheel with the gasser which is another 5,000 lbs and way more wind resistance. And FYI the gasser is $10k less 🤷♂️. Nobody says there is a comparison to gas if the diesel is a 2024. The new gassers tow very close to a 10 year old diesel and use cheaper fuel, no def, regens emissions, for way less money. If towing less than 15k a new gasser does well enough

Its great to see how the exhaust brake worked in cruise. I'm hoping to get an HD truck soon and want to travel everywhere and I agree that control downhill is just as if not more important than uphill speed. To see the Duramax perform that much better now makes me feel way better about them. I had been a Ram fanboy since the '19 upgrade, but with how much less expensive the GMs are now and the improvements they have made, I may have to go that way. Plus GM gives you more tech than the rams at that lower price. Love your content, keep it up!!!
@Harikarikillboy Жыл бұрын
JB, them boys at Ram are gonna be sore you jumped ship on em lol. I like the fact that you don’t stay loyal to any manufacturer, they need to understand that if they are not meeting the mark they don’t deserve it and your spot you did on Rams pricing was SPOT ON!! If you’re charging that much more money we better be getting that much more truck, period! If not, there’s others who will. I think in the near future these prices will either come down or their over inflated market is gonna dry up some. I won’t pay $100k+ for any pickup, but my towing days are coming to an end. I’m looking at the midsize market and gm is the only American brand that puts a 6cyl in their midsize trucks. Gm messed up with that laugh of a 2.8 diesel in the canyon and Colorado but they TRIED and was the only one to offer it. They need to stuff that 4.3 6cyl (best 6cyl I’ve ever owned in 45 years) back in those trucks and offer a real diesel. Isuzu is allegedly coming back with their DMAX small truck with a 3L diesel, if they do I’m retiring the rv and F350 and getting a camp. I don’t want to even think of where these prices are gonna end up and tbh never thought I’d see a pickup truck cost over $100k. I’m tapping out fellas. I can think of a million ways to spend that kind of money and none of it has to do with a truck lol. Love the channel JB, you’re onto something and this channel is growing QUICK! You work hard and deserve it my friend! I don’t even bother with the other channels I used to go to. Keep it up bud!!

Great video!! Learned lots. Great engine and truck! Cruise control on downhill is a great trick 👍🏼
@twiggerdug33 Жыл бұрын
Ok brother, i love your reviews!!! Just my 2 cents, when its in cruise control the computer is always monitoring the speed obviously so therefore it engages the exhaust brake when needed at a specified speed higher than the cruise control is set. When its not in cruise control and your coasting without any brake applied it knows no better other than to coast. If you hit your brake slightly while coasting it will engage your exhaust brake. Do this, put the truck in cruise control “on a flat surface” use the cruise control and quickly adjust the speed to a lower speed, perhaps from 70 to 55 and see what happens. The exhaust brake will engage as if you hit the brake because the computer thinks its running over the set speed. Maybe you’ve tried these things already but i would like to see “your” video and here your thoughts on your channel.

Great video! I would love to meet you guys in person. So, I have a couple of things and a question for the channel. I just towed for the first time with my 2024 AT4 3500, and it changed to tow haul mode right as soon as I hooked up the trailer. It is now automatic! And Ford's windshields are even worse! I have replaced two in my Bronco, and it doesn't even have 4k miles yet! And no, it hasn't been off-road. That is just from the highway. For the question, because I have had multiple people tell me this, is it worth putting on a bigger air intake system? And what is the benefit? Normally, I do not make big changes to my trucks.
@garysarratt1 Жыл бұрын
I’ve been thinking about getting a Banks Derringer tuner for the system information and pedal monster to get rid of pedal lag. I was looking into the cold air intake, but seeing the transmission temp in this video in 100 degree weather, towing up steep long hills, I think it’s just a waste of money. I’ve had mine over a year, and have towed up mountains, just not while it was that hot. I’m impressed with the cooling in this truck!

“Better”….. that’s perspective. At this point, Ram, Ford and Gm can and will tow whatever you have/want anywhere safely and legally. Ford is by far the most powerful, and it’s also very much more expensive. Our 2024 High Country does everything I need and it was $20k less than an equal equipped Ford. That’s “my perspective”. If you have a Ford and fly by me up a 6% grade… cheers to you! 🏁
