@@luketrochinski3954 I stated the SW (software), "ForScan". It allows very in-depth mods & Tweaks on many variables in programming. Exp: What lights are on for Daytime, Fogs on with HighBeams, behavior of locks, changing control behavior, adding features to Instrument panel, adjust tire size and speedometer, change the TPMS Tire pressure values, etc, etc. The Tire Size is a good one, most newer Trucks can't recalibrate their Speedo and many Dealerships won't reprogram it either. That Speedo change requires several tweaks in the programming. The Wire Harness, GM may now provide... inside Cab providing physical 6 Upfitter Switches (on Ceiling) pre-wired in harness. Each Switch Includes Relays & Fuses seperately for each of the 6 Switches of what ever you desire to configure. Air Pump, Additional parameter lights, snow equipment, Change Horn relays between OEM & Air Horn for Steering wheel, etc. Plus, if you needed a lot more, That can be added with multiple Screen Switches if needed: Boom & Utility Bed controls, or program a Series of events with 1 switch.

My first truck that my dad passed down to me was 1976 regular cab Chevy pickup. It had heat only no ac, am radio only and no power anything with a hard ass vinyl bench seat that burned your ass in the summer and was hard and cold as cement in the winter. Currently I have a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie crew cab truck. My God I never dreamed that trucks would be this nice and comfortable. You guys are my favorite truck channel, and I own ZR2 since 2019. But what I have never seen you or the other truck channel (with Andre on it) to cover in depth is how these trucks age. A few years from now, how do the engines/transmissions, etc. hold, what are the pain points, what trucks are money pits, looking great brand new but then complete junk 48 months later (mind you, doing real world heavy duty truck work, not pavement princess parking or just picking groceries)...? Wish you would do that, but since you don't, I watch Scotty Kilmer in the meantime.

@lyleswavel3205 ай бұрын
If the front grill and hood look is why you purchase a truck, then definitely get the gmc, because after that, the Ford has it beat everywhere else except the tailgate seat you can sit on. Since the gmc is $4000 more, I'd get a leveling kit for the ford front end to lift it 2 inches and put a black ranch hand front bumper guard with a 12,000 pound warn winch on it

i have a 2024 GMC 2500 Denali Ultimate with the max trailering package, the payload is 3300 lbs and 20000 lbs, gooseneck 21600 lbs, only flaw i have with my truck is the fact that it doesn’t come with the 8Ft bed, like how the Silverado High Country, that would be awesome and it would compete better with this F250 with the 8Ft Bed

Was there a typo on the pricing? How was the GMC cheaper in US $ but more expensive in Canadian $?
@TruckKing11 ай бұрын
Not a typo. Vehicles are priced differently in the US and Canada. It is not based on the conversion. And in this case, GMC USA seems to offer more value where GMC Canada thinks its truck should be priced above the competition.

Regarding the seats, do you think the GM seats will hold up better over the long term due to the firmness?
@CristianM42527 ай бұрын
Negative . They say they break in after a while but I’m with the people that say otherwise. After owning my Silverado for 6 years if anything the seat got worse and I had to buy a seat cushion .

So GMC looks better and has the rear view camera mirror. Other than that the ford seems to win everything else. The GMC had more payload but the 8’ bed makes that difference.
@razorwired1307 ай бұрын
Definitely like the exterior looks of the GMC better (current 3500 Denali owner) but I’m trading into a Ford F250 Limited. The ride is MUCH smoother and the interior is better. Pro power is also very useful.

Not to be that guy, but for some reason I’m not sorry that I have to manually adjust my steering wheel. The power seats are there, and they’re fine, but I wouldn’t be sorry if I didn’t have them. I wound up paying way too much in 22, but that was something I had to do. We always thought trucks would come back down, but how stupid; nothing ever comes down, only up up up. The roof lights I didn’t want were $55 USD, I don’t remember the cost of the other features off the top of my head. I hunted for 3 months before finding it in another state, so it’s not like I was impulsive. I’m just glad I’m done truck shopping for several years.

Both are nice looking trucks, I think I might like the look of the GMC just a bit better. I like both colors of the trucks, but the Ford wins for me in that.

Great video, liked the comparison and I’d most likely buy the GM Because of a light bias but also because when is it enough. You’d have to think, how much is too much when it comes to capability without challenging tractor trailer semi stuff. Also I have a question on how much of a difference is it for diesel to gas for ranch work?

I lean towards GMC looks wise too both trucks are amazing though
@jameshamel774011 ай бұрын
GM takes the win. I've had both. GM rides way better. GM has a superior fuel system. I think the transmission is a lot smoother. The only edge i would think the ford has is, its built tougher with the solid front axle and a select few other things that make it a better work truck. Also the cabin is bigger and the seats are way better and thats it.

In late ‘23 I was on the way to the Ford lot to possibly trade my ‘21 Denali 1500 in on an F250 Limited. Hadn’t seen one in person yet. Liked what I saw online with the interior… looked amazing, think it even had tilt-recline back seats, comfier seats per reviews, I even liked the front grill. And it was a more powerful truck. But I ended up driving right past that lot to the GMC dealer. I had to yield to my inner child desire to have the better looking vehicle. GMC’s aggressive look is very commanding. And am I the only one that can’t stand all the metal on the tailgates of the higher end luxury Fords? Looks terrible. And I couldn’t imagine not having the multi-pro tailgate now that I’ve had one. I ended up getting the ‘24 AT4 HD and love it.

Ford! Go to the super duty and Denali forums and it’s more unanimous that Ford is the better option. People who went from GM to Ford are seemingly not looking back. They all have their issues but the ford seems to be superior in this comparison.

32:01 One thing Ford does show I believe is turbo boost pressure which I personally appreciate. GM is far better looking exterior and Interior and my preferred manufacturer but Ford does have pros over GM trucks. Better braking, power, more AC electrical capacity in the bed.

Obviously I am a long time Ford guy however when it comes to the interior, GMC has that in spades with the natural warm earth tones which I wish Ford would incorporate in their interiors. Even on my F-150 Supercrew, it's dark gray against light gray and it's bland and boring. I'd personally love to see wood grain added to the dash panel and door panels to break up the monotony and make it more inviting. One of my favorite Ford interiors is the King Ranch saddle leather. When you climb into that truck with extremely muddy boots on and leather gloves, it's no big deal because that is what that interior styling is geared towards. Mud on the seats, no big deal just brush it off after is dries out.

Be converted, have the Holy Spirit, humble yourself, do not be a hypocrite (we are all guilty of this, I am EXTREMELY GUILTY of this), REPENT AND CONFESS YOUR SINS and ask for forgiveness, read the Bible, be baptised in the name of Jesus. Read the Bible read the Bible read the Bible. Idk man, both incredibly nice trucks. But not even the price difference, but the fact they are that expensive. I agree with you. I feel like the gm does unimportant things better, and the ford does the more important things better. Also, a deal breaker for me on the gm, is the transmissions. I’m tuning and deleting my 2023 and gm’s don’t like that haha.

I’m curious about gas vs. Deal. I’m doing research for what truck to get. It’d be a daily driver to my office job, light off-roading once a month but would also need to tow a 30ft Flying Cloud Airstream for my family of 5. Would gas be the better way to go? I like the looks of the GMC so much more, but the Ford seems to edge out the GMC in turn radius, seat comfort, and a bunch of practicality things. Also, seems like the gas engine would be easier to work on than the diesel and less expensive for bigger repairs.

I like the Ford but I am a Ford guy, but 975 ft pounds of torque is more than enough. In my opinion the GMC is a nicer looking truck but there's no way I would ever pay a 100K for any truck.

I'm looking at the Gasser 7.3 Ford and the 6.7 diesel as a replacement for my F150 V8, since I'm moving into towing 12 to 14K lbs. Are there any winter starting concerns with any diesel engine, I've heard that it is very bad for cold diesels. Should i be concerned because i live in a cold climate where starting below minus 15 Celsius is common.

Owned both. Was a Ram guy for 23yrs. Went from 23 Ram 3500 Longhorn HO to 24 Denali 3500. Hated the GMC, kept it for 7mo. The style is great. The interior layout of the cup holders, storage & button layout is terrible a joke. I can't believe no one is talking about the fact that you can't see dedicated DEF guage, turbo boost and EB (exhaust brake is joke) or fact that you have to do weird shift into manual then can't see what gear! Tailgate is cool, styling is great & ride/build quality is good. Seats are not comfortable but that's subjective. RAM 3500 HO: Aisin shifts/lag is horrible! Cab/exterior is stale. Interior was best but other 2 caught up on style. Need configuration of 8' bed w/megacab & cargobox. Storage/layout is good. Build quality is OK. Ride is stiff. Best EB brake. Horrible phone charger pad. 24 F350 Limited Standouts that made me love this truck: Interior layout/storage and cupholders is awesome. 8' bed=48 gal fuel tank. EB is much improved. Shifting is smooth and tells you gear. Dedicated DEF/gear selection, turbo, EB & more info shown. Seats are awesome. Phone charger is large/good location to see. Style is 2nd to GMC but very good. Smoothest ride and best engine power in my opinion.

Battle of the cameras goes to Ford. Battle of Towing goes to Ford almost 4k better; that's huge for me. Ford wins the adjustments of the steering wheel, pedals, and cup holders. Ford has more power by a small margin. I never complained about my GMC seats, but those Ford seats look a lot more comfortable. Braking goes to Ford. Dash personalization goes to GMC. I have owned both, this next time around I will probably go with the Ford.
