Even though my Cardo picks it up when I turn it on I’m not always using that. It does stink a little bit because you lose your power, but not a big deal to get CarPlay so easy.

Bars look good. It's about time Harley started putting taller bars on their touring bikes. I have a 2020 Road Glide Limited and I believe the bars are around 11" but will be getting some taller bars soon. Nice bike you have there!

John you need to get a Byrna non-lethal weapon so that you can carry anywhere in the US.. I think you will need a Sand or Orange Pistol to comply with NY/NJ rules. The non-lethal weapon fires tear gas and pepper spray balls that explode on impact and will knock down large person for upto 30 minutes of disorientation so you can call police. Don’t have to worry about USCCA protecting you cause of lethal force case.

Great information John; per usual. My '24 (Blue Burst) has been excellent for me. I still need to remove the reflectors off the front forks, and the sticker from the air box. I think I wasted some money on the 10" wind splitter from Harley Davidson, great windscreen, but now I think I'm gonna go with a 10-12" from Freedom Shield (I wanted to try Klock Werks, but they are SOLD OUT). I stand about 6'4" so I ended up pushing my handlebars forward as well (after grinding out the pin on the top bar clamp). Got the bluetooth dongle thingy to connect the iPhone and use CarPlay. I don't think I'll need the bag screws - I don't ever plan to leave my firearm in my bag. If my weapon can't go, I just won't go! 👍🏾 The absolute last change I'm going to make it the seat. I'm considering the Saddleman Road Sofa Extended Reach, but I want to find one in-stock somewhere, put it on my bike and see how it feels first - before I throw $800+ at it.. I rode up to Knoxville this past weekend for Traveling Tall's RTTH4 and that 3.5hr ride wasn't too bad - I just need a seat that pushes me back an inch or 2, and provides a little more cushion. We'll see.

You can also connect a pair of bluetooth headphones and those will link up as a head set and apple car play works both wired and wirelessly.. also can leave the earbud in the case and it still connects.. cost no money to do and most people have a pair of beats

nice bike John.. thanks for the tip.. for bars I would definitely look into the Thrashin setup.. They have one of the nicest kits on the market. I have most of their products on my 22 RGST. Excellent quality.. for the seat, I would also look into the Drag Specialties Predator 3 seat.. has a nice high back and super comfortable day one.. no need to break it in like the saddlemen. I had the Saddlemen but hated in on long rides even after breaking it in.. just could never get it to feel right.. The Predator seat is a huge improvement. Check it out before ordering anything just to compare. Good luck! looking forward to what else you got planned for the bike..

Great video! Been watching your videos for a while now and realized I wasn’t subscribed. I am now! I do have a question. I just bought my very first touring bike. Got a vivid black 2024 Street Glide. Have you done any paint protection film on yours to protect the paint from scratches or chips from riding? I am so paranoid about getting any scratches or chips and I’m curious what others are doing to protect the paint. Not to mention the black paint shows every little thing on it. Another great video by the master. I just bought a 2024 Road Glide about 3 days before you and my first big upgrade is..... replacing the plastic transmission dip stick with a metal one. The money they want for these bikes and they put a plastic trans dip stick. More upgrades on order, but now the big one is complete. P.S. Start using the accessory switch.... other side, LOL

When you moved your bars forward, did you stop at the factory limit or did you go further than that. I recently bought my 2024 RG and moved my bars forward but I only went as far as the limit. this is 100% the reason. Same reason why Android auto isn't on the new bikes they want a microphone connected for handsfree use and since there is not one built into the bike and requires you adding one they opted to not allow it on the bike.

Sorry if it’s been covered but how did you get your bars to rotate that far forward? I tried and couldn’t because of a pin on the bottom/inside of the tree cover that only lets it rotate so far. I was trying to follow your angle with the forks and couldn’t even get them lined up. Thanks.

Will the apple car play trick work on my 21 ultra limited? It has to be plugged into the USB in order to work now and I can not use Siri or make or listen to a call. Any help would be awesome love the channel
