I took the ZR-V HEV LX for a test drive yesterday with the wife. The ZR-V is a beautiful build and finish and I was really keen to purchase it. Very quiet at low speeds. However the noise coming in from the sides for both of us on the open road from 80-110 km/hr was really obtrusive and significant. The noise sounded like it was coming straight in through the door window glass on both driver and front passenger at ear level. I spend a lot of time on open roads and it is currently a deal-breaker which is really frustrating as we love the car otherwise. So I am reading and researching trying to find out if this is due to insufficient sound deadening in the doors? 🤷🏻♂️. Or side mirror noise? I am going to take a LX petrol version for a drive to see if it was just an issue with that specific car we drove. If any ZRV owners have any comments that would be appreciated!

Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. To be honest we never found the wind/road noise an issue, but we only spent a week and not really long runs. Tyre choice may help? But if mirror issue then out of ideas. Let us know if you solve the problem.

@@TarmacLife Thanks! We tested another 2 HEV variants today (and a Petrol version) and they did not have the same noise as the first HEV we tested. So we are a bit confused what caused the extra noise on the first one we tested... maybe the tyres were a problem - pressure too high? Anyway, we are back to considering purchasing the car now, especially with the 8 Year warranty being offered as a EOFY special..

There is a serious design flaw with the rear seats. Your knees end up near your ears. Can't believe this design got through.

Yes, not the best but its because the battery is underneath the back seat floor.

Dreamy? Really. Its a CVT , whats sporty about that? Yeah cool it has a 360 degree camera.. so does a 27k MG suv Its not bad but its overpriced.

Thanks for watching, it's a play on their marketing speak. I'm some ways it's very Honda but in others it's a stand out. Seating position is great, engine is sound and the styling - well that's down to individual perspectives.

MG…..are you serious? How do you think an MG will be going in 10yrs. And the CVT is a market standard used in many car marque’s. I would agree that a torque converter transmission would be a better choice.

@@shanebagnall1979 people still own cars for 10 years? Whocares. An MG is fine for its warranty period. The MG 4 drives wayyyyyyy better than this by the way. CVTs are market standard but for people who give a shit about driving they're rubbish

Its Not a CVT!!!!! E-CVT Nothing to do with a CVT!!!!! I Drives like a normal automatic.
