For anyone who doesn’t have the “View problem details” drop down ( 1:06 in this video): Immediately following the “Searching for problems...” progress bar, a minimized window bar will pop up for a VERY short period of time at the bottom left corner of the screen. (It’s X:/ unknownfile. name - I don’t know the actual file name, but it IS in X:/ drive.) QUICKLY mouse down to it and click to maximize the X:/ unknownfile. name - It will open the same window as the “View problem details” drop down in the video. The rest of my experience was straightforward, aligned with the rest of the video guide, and my problem was solved. Hopefully this helps someone else without the drop down button. Cheers!

You can also make a copy of the cmd file and rename the copied version of the cmd file, after pasting it at the bottom of the folder, that way your original cmd file stays intact and unaffected. Then you can also go into the files after the process is finished and delete the extra file to keep someone else from accessing the command prompt so easily. Doesn't close the back door, but it makes it harder to find for someone who doesn't know any better. Also, it's important to note, that you permanently lose access to any encrypted files when you perform this process. Just a heads up.

When i did the part at 1:20 the link send me to a different page which says " windows cannot repair computer automatically .....if you have any devices connected such as a camera or music player, remove it and restart computer, if you continue to see this message... contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance." Options are (restart the computer) or (shut down computer). My aunt got it from a old job that she bought it from for at home work and the company has since shut down. So theres nobody to call. I'm happy to help! If your boss doesn't use command prompt or software that uses it then you can leave it as is. But if he needs CMD then you have to rename it back to its normal names using the same method you did before.

Just give it a few tries. Or use any available methods to you to rename those two files and then proceed with my instructions.
