I'm a bit panicked about my trip and looking for some answers regarding MDAC: My flight is on November 16, 2024 from Istanbul to Kuala Lumpur with Turkish Airlines. I arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 08:20. At 14:50 on the same day from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok with Malaysia Airlines. These are not transfer tickets, I bought both tickets myself. I have to enter and exit Malaysia same day. I just have 6hours. My questions are: 1)What should i write accommodation? Other and my next flight number, or Hotel/motel and airport adress. 2)Will the entry and exit on the form be on the same day and what I write on the form be accepted? The address section seems to be particularly sensitive to typo. Will I get an error message? 3)Since it is not included in the very short-term day trip form, are visitors like me who have purchased tickets not allowed in? Is this a very strange behavior? 4)I will enter Malaysia again with Thai Airways on November 20, 2024, stay for 2 days and return to my country with Turkish Airlines on November 24. Will my second entry and exit being this early cause a problem? Thank you so much.

hi, 1) You can just put 'Transit' [flight number] 2) You can enter and exit on the same day, not a problem 3) Your connecting flight will be sufficient 4) Should not be a problem

Hi. 1) You said with first time arrival you need to go to a desk first. Does this also count for someone (my friend) who has been there before, but never used the autogate before? 2) Will the agent at the desk stamp your passport or will they only check if it's valid for the use of the autogate? 3) Do you HAVE to use the autogate or are you also allowed to use the normal inmigration desks? Hi, 1. Yes your friend has to register at the manual immigration counter to use the autogate, if he has not used it before. 2. The agent will register your data into the autogate system, and will stamp your passport for you to enter Malaysia. Pls inform the agent that you want to register for autogate/ e-gate 3. you are allowed to choose to use autogate or manual counter. The officer may encourage you to use the autogate if you hold an eligible passport, but you can let them know you prefer the immigration desk, I think.

Hi, does it happen to a particular field? Normally this is because the keyboard is set to other language. You can try setting it to English. Or use other devices.

Hi, you are not able to edit the MDAC, you can submit another one. If you can't due to the arrival date, it will be be fine to just leave it as long as you don't overstay the duration you are allowed in the country.

No matter how I fill in the address field it always says "Please enter Address (In Malaysia) properly."

Make sure the postcode is correct. the address in Malaysia may be too short, try entering a longer address.

@@theresearchfiles What finally got it to work was to move the first part of the address that I had in the second field up to the end of the first field where I just had the hotel name. Which doesn't make much sense to me but it worked.

Hello, I am travelling from India to Kuala Lumpur but i have a layover at Thailand (3 Hours). So i guess my " Last Port of Embarkation before Malaysia" will be Thailand and also "Flight / Vessel / Transportation No. " it will be the outgoing flight from Thailand to KL right?

Hi yes the flight number will be the flight that goes to KL. Now this is the tricky question. I am a Malaysian Permanent Residence with a Swedish Passport. Where can i register my passport to use the e-gates at KLIA? i have been told i can register it at KLIA kiosk.. but where is it exactly? Hi, as I know you can register it at the manual counter for passport control. You can register when you travel, as you have to go through immigration anyway.

Hi, it's only required for entering the country, so from KL to Langkawi, it's domestic travel, so you don't need to fill in again. yes MDAC is required for each passenger, including children.

@theresearchfiles thank you so much, one more question as I'm rather panicked, I completed and downloaded the pdfs, but it's possible that the travel agency also completed these forms for me, I saw two pdf available for my passport number, is it a problem, which one do I use, do they cancel each other or it doesn't really matter because they have same info ? You can't edit the MDAC. If it doesn't make sense to submit another MDAC, it will be ok as long as you stay in Malaysia within the allowed number of days.

Hi, if you arrive on Nov 2, you have to select Nov 2 as your Arrival Date. You have to wait until you can select the date. You should be able to select Nov 2 starting from 31st Oct.
