The one thing I wanted to comment with both of you guys is that your very knowledgeable and that helps everyone else out there who are looking into buying a new bow and I just wanted to say thank guys killer job. Would a 30" draw guy enjoy this bow? Great review guys. Thank you.

You are in the sweet spot and could probably get either this or the ultra and be comfortable.

Hey fellas, I’m looking at picking up a new bow. I been shooting a few years and saving up for a flagship set up. I’m looking for something that will be equally good at 3D and Target as it would be for hunting. It doesn’t have to be the best at one thing, just competitive in any discipline because I’d like to be able to take deer or elk with it but also compete indoor and 3D shoots. What do you guys recommend for that? Elite Verdict? Title 36? Maybe Elite Carbon Era or Shootdown Pro? Man there’s so many great options out there it’s really hard to focus in on a couple to go shoot. I live far from any decent pro shops and the ones that are in driving distance are so packed every time I go that it’s hard to get any range time with anything before the new models are coming out lol. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

How the draw cycle compared to Bowtech SR?

I have a feeling matthews will drop carbon bow soon
@theincredible9168 Жыл бұрын
Hoyt has made a carbon bow since 2010. It's about time they do.

Mathews said you can't make a carbon bow as good as an aluminum bow.
@theincredible916810 ай бұрын
@TangoOne And that's false. Hoyt has a video of them driving over a carbon bow with a truck. Not to mention, I've had aluminum ferals on broadheads break but my carbon arrow remain perfectly fine.

I'm sure you are smarter than the engineers at Mathews. Also, bow risers and arrow inserts are completely different lol, what a horrible comparison. I'd take a Mathews aluminum riser over a Hoyt made in china carbon any day (and the Mathews Lift is also lighter)@@theincredible9168

Mathew’s makes great bows, too. But they are missing the point when they say they can make an aluminum bow better than a carbon bow. The customer wants a carbon bow from Mathew’s. Until they get that, they will lose market share with people like me, who happen to prefer carbon over aluminum. Just do. And it’s not like Mathew’s couldn’t make a killer carbon bow if they wanted, they make amazing carbon guitars already. Sure hope they eventually offer what a segment of the customers are asking for someday.

I see the RX8 being a hard sell since the Lift exists. It's lighter, faster, MUCH cheaper and made in America.
@bigz526210 ай бұрын
It’s not really faster
@RemedyTalon10 ай бұрын
@@bigz5262 the lift 33 is faster than the rx8 ultra. Their shorter ata bows are essentially the same. You gotta be REALLY into Hoyt to justify that cost. I think the Alpha X is a great bow for the price, the RX8 doesn't do anything special to justify the cost and if you are going for weight the Lift is lighter.

@@RemedyTalon Josh is a straight up Mathews shill. He’s really smart and acts like he’s not paid but them taking him on a hunt definitely changed his attitude. He’s still really smart and I appreciate his input. Mathews rates both their bows almost 10 feet faster but they’re essentially the same. If any other company was that far off on their rating Josh would tear them a new one. Carbon is significantly stronger and it’s more tolerable in the cold. It’s quite a bit more so it’s not worth it to everyone. The weight isn’t significant because by the time you balance the top heavy Mathews it’s a moot point
@RemedyTalon10 ай бұрын
People always say "carbon is stronger" but I have yet to see an aluminum riser fail from regular use, it's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. They started using carbon because it was lighter than aluminum at the time but modern aluminum bows are starting to close the gap and in some cases exceeding carbon. The "warmth" of carbon is the major advantage, but that is a big price tag difference for a small advantage (it might be big to some). I often wonder why Cameron Hanes, while being sponsored by Hoyt, still prefers the aluminum bows over the carbon (that's a genuine question)@@bigz5262
@bigz526210 ай бұрын
@@RemedyTalon I just went and rewatched all of Josh’s videos, the shorter bows the Hoyt is 2 feet faster and the longer bows the Mathews is 2 feet faster, but Mathews rates both theirs faster. It’s only a few hundred bucks difference. That’s a lot for some people, but some people’s only hobby is archery so it’s easily justifiable. I have an RX8 with 80# limbs and it’s pretty incredible. I want to see a speed test with an 80 pound Mathews, just for fun because speed isn’t everything. And I think Cam just shoots whatever Hoyt sends him. 2 or 3 years ago he had the carbon speed bow, last year he had the VTM I’m assuming because there wasn’t a new carbon. I don’t know what he has now
