On mod screws most people use blue loctite. I used to until I had to remove my cams, wrap them in a soaked wet rag, and use a little butane torch on the screw to break free. Blue loctite is service grade but it’s designed for fasteners that use a bigger tool to break free. For small fasteners like draw mod screws that use small Allen wrenches and torx bits to remove, you should use PURPLE loctite. It is designed for small fasteners and it will keep things tight. And as always use sparingly don’t soak entire screw in it lol

Do bows without the quick and easy adjustments for tuning hold their tune a little better than others? Conversely is it easier for the bows with those adjustments to go out of tune if something accidentally loosens? Might be Hoyt's stance on that.

I think it's more to gain peak performance for each DL range. One mod can't be fully efficient in all draw lengths, so having a different mod for each step in DL, I would think, makes it faster/more efficient in each length.

Mfjj I love this in depth testing! Thank you for making bow manufactures more honest, do you only measure ATA on the open riser side? Not the sight side of the riser? And when you measure your full draw angle, is that from top to bottom of cams or ATA? I feel like cams would be the more accurate method. And I’m very excited to see the decibel ratings across the board!

Really don’t like shims for tuning, very difficult without the tools provided to the pro shop. I’ve experienced bearing failures, top cam, on both my current Hoyt bows. One failure was very dramatic at full draw, scary. $2000 is pretty silly. I can also see issues with having the correct mod since DL’s are not accurate and tend to run long. I really hated that with the Mathews, I end up with a bunch of mods on my bench. It’s an improvement over past bows considering speed was lacking. Not much else is improved upon…
