Recently bought one and I feel I got a good deal. $36,600 driveaway with tinted windows, front and rear hardwired dashcam and carpet floor mats thrown in for free. Yes there are some very annoying things in this car and if I could get my hands on a Corolla in a timely manner I would've but overall I'm ecstatic with this car.

Let me guess. Tony is another Toyota fanboy. Just letting you know Tony. Usually 0-30 is running by electric motor which doesn't need DCT to do the work. Low speed is what hurts and wears out DCT but hybrid covers that weakness.

When you mention that it is also called the Elantra, that's very confusing since at one point in Australia we did have both the i30 and the Elantra sold at the same time as separate cars. Altho when I think about it, 1 was a hatch and 1 was a sedan. Wonder if they were the same car just as a different type of car🤔

It is confusing, you’re right. This is built on a different and newer platform to the i30 hatch - but because sales were bad for Elantra, they changed it to i30 Sedan to sell more… and it worked

Just saying... I spent a grand less than that Base model, and got a Haval Jolion Ultra 2024, with ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES, plus dashcams, tint and paint protection. I guess ppl r paying for the hybrid battery in the i30 tho.

Jolion comes in a Hybrid too, not nearly as efficient as the i30 hybrid though. Definetly a much nicer/better value car but it will depreciate more.

The lane guidance in i30 is so bad compared to corolla hybrid. Jerks the wheel out of your hand bad. Before the haters say turn it off, you have to do it everytime you start the car which is a pain.

I agreed its a good deal and the dct is perfect for the driving its been in the nire the entire and nobodys really complained about that transmission wise, but i think the big difference is at the end of the day a 50000mile corolla is worth more then a 50000mile hyundia/kia equivalent, and the corolla actually looks really good as a hybrid AND HAS AWD!!!

i30 are generally known as one of the most reliable small cars in Australia, up there with Corolla. Guessing you're from US perhaps?
