Just bought the Ionic5 in Abyss black. A probable classic in the making. Its style informs its a true EV and its performance matches its brilliant design. As a native Detroiter who worked for many brands, this Iconic Ionic will stand the test of time. The timid and tired design of Tesla is far surpassed., yet of course high performance of the Tesla cannot be denied. I opted for the long range yet modest single motor for balance and glad I did. I have a sport 6 speed convertible that provides those spirited runs, but the sheer brilliance of this Ionic in every metric is a marvel.

I appreciate how in depth you go describing the features. A lot of these features aren't described in other reviews. This was the first time I saw the HUD in any detail, or the adjustability of the 360 camera view.

​@@DontslaythybroskiDrove a Model 3 4 years and now I have the Ioniq 5. Tesla is a great car but honestly no better a car. Build quality is better on the Hyundai. Sure, it doesn't fart but the damn windshield wipers work properly.

It's a relatively small group of people who spend a inordinate amount of time cruising the car review channels. Some of us are here because we're genuinely looking for a new car, but many of these people are full time KZbin comment section naysayers. Most people in the physical world don't have animosity against car companies. Teslas are objectively better by almost every metric that matters and that infuriates the jealous haters.

Tip : put a big heavy lock on the steering wheel and you can remove your hands while in full driving assist mode. Very useful on long drives over empty highway. I own this car for already 2+ years. It's the best I have ever bought even compared to my previous Audi Q7 fully equipped

No one wants evs right now. The top of the line should be 40k out the door at most, without incentives. Lowest models should start at 20k. With that said, great looking car.

Great looking car but I had a terrible time in S. Korea (most of the taxi's are the Ioniq 5) It made me car sick riding in it, every time. This was really uncomfortable for me. I just test drove one and found out, unlike some, you can completely disable regen braking - it's much smoother this way :D

Been driving a Model 3 for four years and about to change it, with this being the leading choice. My concern is how seamless the Tesla is with navigation and charging. Am I going to get a ‘shock’ when moving away from the Tesla SuC network, in the UK?

The 2025 is going to make this car perfect with rear wiper and dedicated buttons for heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel. I have a 2024 and a rear wiper would be nice. The digital rearview mirror sounds good on paper but in practice because the way your brain processes the image, it's not so great.

They are only on the Limited. I have a 2024 Limited in Shooting Star.

@@starshipcaptain4753 I went to the configurator and see what you saw. I can't explain it. It's either an error or they changed the wheels. Perhaps a supply chain issue? I would go to your local Hyundai dealer and ask about it.

This is no where near as tech filled as a Tesla for the cost. It is a nice riding car but that is all. It has a lot of failure points Tesla does not. Like fuses from the 1990's. The sound system is blah

If you were to mask the car up it would look like it's ready for painting, that colour is the same as car undercoat, terrible color, well it's not really a color it's dull light grey 😮 👎👎 it's the same color as the footpath 😅😅😅😅😅😅
