I agree with you. I wasn't expecting it to be Suede. From the pictures, it looked like it was leather, but this is a turn off for me. Will prefer Caligraphy Standard over this

Disappointed with the seats. I was waiting for this night edition because the exterior look is my preference, but the downgrade of seats is painful.

To me the Alcantara is better since you don't have to worry about the leather warping or cracking over time and it does grip your body more while driving so your not sliding around.

I own a hyper white night edition and I don't mind the Alcantara seats because it grips better and is more resistant to soaking up heat fron the sun than leather,I mean as long as your not a messy slob then the Alcantara will outlast the leather,as for ease of cleaning I have mine treated with hydrophobic coating so any messes would just bead off and I got the additional paint and interior warranty. It is what it is if you want top of the line then you have to do the upkeep for top of the line.

I have the white Night edition, and it looks Amazing!! You can see more of the details in the exterior. The interior with the alcantara seats is worth the extra 1500 in my opinion.

We just bought a new 2024 calligraphy I was originally wanting a night edition but once I saw that the night edition did not come with leather we chose the regular calligraphy. I really liked the night edition except for that interior material being the only option they should have offered leather I would have bought one

I prefer the suede. Its warmer in the winter and I just like the looks better.

That's why we have heated seats. Suede isn't easier to clean if there is a spillage

Living in Arizona, I cannot tell you how hot the leather seats get in summer. I find it necessary to put a towel on my GMC Yukon XL Denali seats while wearing shorts. The suede may be cooler in the summer. Leather in the summer can be like a frying pan on exposed skin.

Not with nappa leather. I sat on the night edition on a hot day in California and I couldn’t take it! It felt like i was wearing a wool sweater in a 90 degree weather. Left and immediately sat on the nappa leather of the Calligraphy and it was refreshing!

We as a family would definitely prefer napa leather instead of suede seats. So it’s a no from us for the night edition mainly because of the suede material but also I personally like the chrome grill better than the all black one. We are looking for a robust emerald color in palisade 2024 but seems like they only have the black interior option available in that which I’m not a big fan of. Would have preferred the beige one for sure. So we might have to change our color option to the second favorite which is steel graphite. Let’s see!

I was pretty disappointed with the "suede" seating for it to be the "top of the line" this would be considered a downgrade. I got the hyper white night edition and it's stunning. The suede seats were not a deal breaker for me at all because there are definitely some benefits, not getting too hot or too cold BUT they definitely should have kept it napa leather and it is misleading as these are NOT premium seats. On another note, they need to have power steering wheel and not a manual, again top of the line. Overall..I absolutely love my night edition calligraphy

The suede was what persuaded us against it. We decided on the regular Calligraphy. Can’t wait for delivery!!!! ❤

Great video but Hyundai should do some education with their sales staff. Alcantara(suede) seating surfaces are waaaay more durable than smooth NAPA leather. I also assumed it was going to be a wear and tear issue down the line. Nothing could be further than the truth. Alcantara is the way to go 100% if you have kids,dogs or are concerned with seat wear.

Its NOT "suede" its "Alcantara" - and is an F'ing nightmare to clean and or keep clean... It is notorious as a "problem" material for cleaning.

Alcatara is not hard to clean, the problem is people let alcantara get really disgustingly dirty and stained before cleaning them. Alcantara is really durable and easy to maintained, as long as you do your regular cleaning.

Had my night (black) for several months. 18 year old twins and their friends and a 1 and 4 year old god child and it's a BREEZE to keep clean. Not sure what you are doing but regular cleaning shouldn't result in, "nightmare." My car looks brand new.

I live in AZ, suede is much more comfortable. My sonata N-Line had this material as well, much better in the summer.

Ive been waiting on my order since April, was emailed the other day that my order had been changed to the night (black ink) edition. Hyundai wont provide a release date yet and apparently not honoring the price that I was offered. Im not sold on the sueded and to be honest... that with the black suede roof.. all thats missing is a shiny disco ball and itll look like something out of a prohibition rave party...... Can only say I already have some reservations about this purchase and I haven't even seen or picked up the car yet

The standard calligraphy and calligraphy night editions are the same just the difference between the seats same HP 291 and 262 pound-feet of torque 3.5 l 8-speed automatic all-wheel drive night edition has swede material seats and the standard calligraphy has napa leather beige interior however I would rather purchase standard calligraphy because of everything is the same in these both trim why I would do spend extra 1500 hundred dollars for unnecessary extravagant apparently standard calligraphy looking great blue link colour and that glittering grill did you notice sweude material seats looking odd and dull than napa leather. Napa leather seats looking shiny and captivating

Is the midnight editions seat easy to clean or is the leather. I love the midnight one but not sure which one will be best for us. Iam not sure the tan interior works because my husband is a machinist and he is aways covered in oil

The leather will be the easier of the two to clean. You can get the the standard Calligraphy with both tan and black interiors.

another question, did the 360 camera view still come up as a white vehicle with the black night edition or did it show as black. Pretty certain all the models and colors show as white? Such a minor thing I know but its a small software change that really would cost very little and add to the premium look

I believe you can change the color of the vehicle that shows up between a couple options. I am not 100% certain but I think it may be available to change.

We own the balck edition, and it is shown as white on 360 camera. Can't find a way to change it but it doesn't bother me

You can't change the color of the vehicle represented in the screen,maybe a later OTA software update will address it but as of right now no.

I just wish Hyundai would stop with direct injection and do port or dual so the valves don't get all gummed up over time. Other than that a very nice looking vehicle.

Mad car but Hyundai has had ours for 3 months finally replacing the ECU 2022 model 60,000km Beautiful to drive but unfortunately we will be going for something more reliable next time

It is terrible-I bought one and was told 5 times the Night Edition had leather seating-the specs do not say suede it says Premium Seating it is misrepresentation. Terrible and gets dirty and gets damaged-dog hair clings on it and gets very dirty.

I test drove a night edition. I thought the suede felt a bit more cushy/comfortable; however, I believe Hundai made a major mistake by limiting color choices. I agree with you. it is too black; prefer styling of the regular calligraphy edition. @@CarsMadeSimple

The person installing the dealership license plate frame on the night edition was on drugs or just does not care about their job. It sends the wrong message. This was a good side by side comparison. The all black on the night edition takes away from the classy design I think and the night edition seats seem like a downgrade.
