Went and test drove a Calligraphy Hybrid AWD in the US this morning. It has 4 drive modes, Economy, Sport, Normal, and Snow. We were very impressed and will be buying one next week. Enjoyed your video, so you have a new subscriber.

I absolutely love my 2024Hyundai Santa Fe SEL all-wheel-drive hybrid! It has all the features that you need. Plus it has 18 inch wheels for a great ride +18 inch tires are much less expensive than the 20 or the 21s my life mileage for 2000 miles is 36.6 miles per gallon! Could not be happier with my choice. Zero issue zero problems.

Thank you for the thorough review. I know the test was done on mostly flat terrain, but we live near the mountains. Do you feel this vehicle would have enough power to drive the mountains between the prairies and BC? We make this drive once or twice each year. Thanks

@@TheNovakReport wonderful. Thank you very much for your response. The issue is always passing on the uphill when you encounter semis or campers on those roads. Did you find the highway mileage was better in the hybrid than the gas version as well? Many of my kms are on the highway/freeway.

I didn't realise that other markets didn't get Calligraphy Hybrid... in Australia we only get the hybrids so it meant Calligraphy 6 seater was a hybrid too! Given all the news about the DCT failures though, I think this is a dodged bullet for us.

Hyundai, like most automakers will have product planners in each country where they operate. They will have input on which trims or features are likely to be in demand and will make requests for market specific trim levels to sell. Canadians, for example love AWD on everything and other features like heated seats and steering wheels are very popular as winter in some parts of the country can be long and cold. But all that said, I think a Calligraphy trim in the hybrid would do well here if Hyundai can allocate some.

I believe Santa Fe Hybrid does not come with a spare tire. Why?
@TheNovakReport3 ай бұрын
It's a growing trend across the industry. The main reason is cost cutting to keep prices down. But usually when a model doesn't come with a spare it does include a rapid tire inflator kit.

I own a Calligraohy Hybrid in Canada. NHL Edition, 500 made. I don’t have any particular like for hockey, too bad it wasn’t an NBA Edition. It comes with carbon fiber runners with a team logo on them and special mats. I’m not going to be installing those. Also a signed jersey. Again not of concern to me. But what I got it for was the pecan interior on a Calligraohy. It’s just gorgeous. The paint is a special edition matte white that’s really nice too. But yeah, I did it for the pecan.

There are a multitude of factors that can influence fuel economy. Everything from payload, driving style (heavy foot or jack rabbit starts are killers), climate, topography and more. It would be hard to say what the reasoning is without being there, but run through a check list that organizations like AAA or similar have to help improve fuel economy.

The hybrid is better, I agree. But I wouldn't save enough on gas to justify the higher cost. I found a gas calligraphy for less than the price of a hybrid limited.
