I disagree with you, I like this boxy look. It's so different! But you're right, to each their own. Great video!

I own a white 2024 Hyundai NLine AWD Hybrid which I bought last September. It was the first car in its class that the dealer had on the lot. One walk around the car and I was amazed and enchanted at the beauty of it. One test drive showed me how quiet and how strong the acceleration was. I traded my gas guzzling Chrysler Hemi for it that afternoon. I have never been as happy with a car as I have been with this one. 🥰😍🤩 They will have to bury me in it.

You showed exactly what I want to see in a car review. Other channels as they get more popular start to focus more on cinematics and less on informative content. They also only review the top specced variant. You nailed it!
@MGReviewsBlog5 ай бұрын
Thanks! Unfortunately, I can't pick & choose which trim I get from the manufacturers. 9 times out of 10, they put their top spec models in the press fleet to showcase all of the available features. It just so happens that in Canada, the Santa Fe Hybrid is not available in the top spec trim.

Thank you for this review. I had a 2019 Chevy Traverse hit 180, 016 miles yesterday, and the transmission is on its last legs. My mechanic did not recommend addressing it. I had been studying and learning about the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid for a few months, and purchased mine yesterday. My Traverse was not bad on fuel while highway driving, but was absolutely horrible in city. I wanted a hybrid because of the obvious fuel savings. Also, auto folding rear seats, and trunk lift are awesome luxury options that I didn't have previously. The dual charging pad, rear A/C controls, more cup holders, and huge information panel are also luxuries compared to what my Traverse offered. The trunk is a little bit smaller but I will get used to it... Hyundai also offers a tremendous factory warranty and my dealer added another 100,000 miles on top of it! The maintenance package doesn't compare to GM's simplicitic one that left me with 100% routine maintenance/ service costs after the first oil change! There were also several issues with the emission system, which had a system wide recall. I am very hopeful that my new hybrid Hyundai will not be plagued with these same types of issues... I actually love the new bold body style as well. It makes a statement. I chose the black exterior and interior.

Great review of the hybrid with trend package! Thank you. I'm looking forward to mine by the of July. Interestingly Canadian hybrids are made in Korea.

That’s rather good news, looks like the quality control is so much better in Korea (a hint- transmission issues)
@Bacteriod6 ай бұрын
ALL the Hybrids are made in Korea, the reg engine models are made in Alabama.

@Bacteriod they are all made in Alabama for U.S. models.

@TheRange7 The US Hybrids are made in Alabama. My Canadian version in Pebble Blue and AWD is made in Ulsan South Korea. I like the boxy design, and I'm not someone who cares that much about power. You don't buy a 1.6l Hybrid and expect a power house. I'm more into the economy and getting 900kms to a tank.

It was a perfect size for me and my wife who go on adventures. But now it's just too big. Hyundai needs to step their game up now and introduce a new vehicle that slots between this and the Tucson
@MGReviewsBlog5 ай бұрын
Yea I find it a bit odd that now Hyundai has two 3-row SUVs that are roughly the same size (this and the Palisade). Perhaps they are planning to add another between the Tucson & this. Or maybe the next generation tucson will also grow in size and a smaller one will take its place.

Excellent review! But I'm i little bit confused, I'm getting the hybrid 2024 preferred trim, but my dealer told me that it won't have sunroof, there is 2 preferred trim levels ?
@MGReviewsBlog5 ай бұрын
Thanks! There's only one Preferred trim but it can be equipped with the Trend package for $4,000 CAD. It's in this package that the dual-pane sunroof gets added.

What is the color of your test vehicle? It looks like a pale blue. If so, we don’t get that color here in the states. Too bad because it looks great!

It's called Pebble Blue. Yea it seems like a Canadian exclusive because I didn't see it when I was researching the US pricing. But you guys do have the red colour that we don't get.

Hey, thanks a lot for the review. Can you please explain in detail how this hybrid is different from Toyota (e-cvt). Which is better?
@MGReviewsBlog5 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I'm the wrong person to ask about that. I'm not familiar with the detailed operations of each system. To me, the difference between the two is that the one in this Santa Fe hybrid feels more powerful and it drives like a normal car. But the Toyota system is more responsive.

I've seen other reviews where they share that the armrests on the front seats ratchet adjust up and down

Oh? Maybe it was a different model? This one doesn't have any adjustable armrests for the front seats.

Thanks you for your detailed review. $43976 + $4000 (trend package) = about $48000 or I could get a used CX-90 MHEV Signature for around $53000 (Certified pre-owned CX-90 comes with 7 years 140000 KM power train warranty). I'm sure the CX-90 MHEV Signature has way more features, power, etc. But not sure which one lasts longer/has better reliability, rides better, and has better NVH (Already test driven CX-90). I won't go for highlander as I hate CVT/eCVT period. I simply need a reliable hybrid powertrain 3 row SUV for the next 10 years, that rides well. What do you think?
@MGReviewsBlog5 ай бұрын
I don't know how well Mazda's inline-6/PHEV powertrain and new 8-speed auto will stand up to time and mileage. It's still unproven. There is the Toyota Grand Highlander but it is more expensive than this Santa Fe & CX-90. There are so few options for hybrid 3-row SUVs in this price range but I'm currently leaning more towards this Santa Fe Hybrid.

@domzjb50535 ай бұрын
I hope the next generation has options for the 3rd row.... its pointless to have 3 rows in the santa fe when there is a palisade which is roughly similar price and similar in size. You get rid of that additional under storage area to squeeze another row in, a that is essentially useless in a few years to a family with growing kid :-/. So far from my observation, its being bought by single families or a family with 2 to 3 kids, I've yet to witness it being packed up with people like a palisade
@MGReviewsBlog5 ай бұрын
I've seen a few spy photos of the upcoming new Palisade and it looks to be getting bigger than it currently is. Perhaps in the next few years Hyundai might introduce something between this and the Tucson. Or maybe the Tucson might grow in size and introduce something smaller to replace the current sized Tucson.
