Most hd lrs's averaged 95 rwhp, 115 torque. My '23 lrs with tbr pipe and tune pulled 104, 119 torque. I don't need any more performance. Very happy all around with the 117.

I thought Thunderstroke 116 will make better hp at the back wheel... So what about the Powerplus engine ?
@exothermal.sprocket4 ай бұрын
Add 4-5 hp to this dyno to be nearly the same as other dynos. I've seen higher numbers on other dynos used by tuners around the country but they all say don't pay attention to the actual numbers, but pay attention to the changes on the same dyno with mods. I'd guess this engine would wake up nicely with exhaust, filter, flash.

I was really pulling for Indian, I thought they'd smoke H-D. Sadly though, the SC is pumping out less Hp and Tq than a 2018 H-D Softail Lowrider 107ci Cycle World dyno'd 6 years ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pl7YmKatlqpjmas The current 117 Low Rider S is 93Hp and 114Tq (the bike the Sport Chief was designed directly to compete with) for an apples to apples comparison.

Lowrider has a stage 1 kit vs stock chief
@Chase_N4 ай бұрын
@@brocklndrs It doesn't say that in the associated article and the air cleaner and mufflers in the 2018 video are the stock versions too from what you can see? I just watched the CW comparo yesterday on the 2024 Low Rider S vs the 2024 Sport Chief- 1/4 mile times, 0-60, 0-100, dyno runs (93Hp & 114Tq vs 74Hp & 105Tq), it was no contest and the LRS won out. Looking at it now, it has to be the 4 valves per head on the 2018 & 2024 M8s vs the 2 valves per head on in the Thunderstroke SC that's the cause. Indian is likely working on this right now. If not, it's because they're planning on switching out all their engines for the Powerplus which will beat the M8 in Hp and match it in Tq.

@@Chase_N I saw it in another comment where someone said it comes stock with stage 1, judging by the intake I figured they were right
@Chase_N4 ай бұрын
@@brocklndrs Nah, H-D doesn't give anyone anything stock. You want a stage 1 from H-D and it's "Great, we'll throw another $500-$1500 on your loan mister!" Stage 1 is exhaust (about $1k by itself), intake, and a tune. Maybe 5-7 Hp/Tq on the best day. Now a stage 2 (a cam in addition to the Stage 1), that'll bump it up. I just watched Kruesi originals get 130Hp and 135Tq out 117. I'm not really into the baggers or cruisers anymore though, they're just a curiosity I'm fond of keeping up with. I've moved onto ADVs, they're a better fit for where I live.
@Skidz754 ай бұрын
@@Chase_N the new bagger 117ci vs the current 2024 Softail 117 is not the same. Kruesi is building the NEW BAGGER 117 (water cooled heads)on a Street Glide. The LRS 117 is similar to the 2022-2023.
