It's amazing how many people don't understand the mini. It's an iPad THAT FITS IN MY POCKETS. Also I like the bezel, I don't get the annoying accidental touches from just holding it like I do with the phone.

I have a 128 gig mini 4. People spent 499.00 for a mini 6 with 64 gig. There was a 150.00 difference between that and 256 gig. On the new I pad there is a 100.00 difference. I am going to buy the 256 gig as I plan to have this iPad a long time. My 128 gig mini 4 lasted 9 years. With AI, you don't know how much memory the other apps are going to eat up so you are covered in that regard. Oh and for the people who don't think this tablet is a seller, Amazon in the UK have sold out of the wi fi only versions.

I also think, regardless of whether you own the Mini 6, I purchased the 7 due to the increased Storage options, Document Scanning support, and, of course, the new Chip and RAM increase, so I believe it is worth it if your existing Mini 6 is running out of storage or acting sluggish.

I still wish they did some slight changes. Just slightly slimmer bezels and at least face ID. I'm not a fan of the display. They should have added oled, or at least the mini led like on their current macs. But I'm sure the new macs will now get oled, because iPad pro has it now. Was also hoping for a18 pro instead of a17 pro, or an m2 chip. Also faster charging. But smaller bezels allows the body of the iPad mini to shrink, making it even more comfortable on the hands and even more easier to fit in coat pockets

I did it today for the simple fact that the trade in value is great from the 6 to the 7 and I bumped from a restrictive 64gb storage to a more respectable 128gb base storage. AI features will be nice too on an iPad platform.

The iPad Mini and a smartphone is a better user experience than a foldable. You get a real phone and a real tablet that runs tablet apps and games. Foldables run blown up phone apps that aren’t formatted

Bad take. Problem is not as many apps are optimised for tablets on android. If Apple did a foldable I’m sure apps could adapt from phone to tablet all in the one app. Android just doesn’t have as good support is iOS apps generally do

Safe to say an additional 3 years of software support plus twice the RAM will make a difference now and also down the line. Now, whether it’s worth it to jump from a 6 to 7… not so sure. Your background apps will probably not refresh as much and it’s certainly faster.

the problem now is not the 60hz or jelly scrolling but that when you scroll now it stutters. To solve the jelly scrolling they further reduced the refresh rate. Compare it to older ipads, those are smoother than ipad mini 7. I hope it can be solved with future updates because it is terrible

Just got the Mini7 - and so far, I love it. my last tablet was an iPad Pro from 2018/19? and I really like the smaller form factor. makes it easy to carry around, toss in your jacket and so on. since I don't read like most "jelly scroll tests" - meaning scrolling furiously up and down, the jelly issue is no issue for me. I also use it as a crew monitor (with the orion app) on filmsets.

Does your “find my pencil “ work? My Pencil Pro works perfectly in all field on my new A17 Mini, except “Find my Pencil” will not work. Nobody at the Apple Store could figure it out. They even replaced my Pencil. They think it may be a software problem that may get corrected in a future update.

I upgraded from the 6 to the 7. Main reason which no one seems to mention too much is the storage. 512GB. Still not as big as I would like but its better than 256GB. It's great, the iPad mini fits in my crossbody bag or coat pocket. Holds all my kindle books, films, music, plus with Cellular when out and about its the perfect companion to carry with you everywhere. Just wish they would make a magic keyboard, mouse case to go with it and a 1TB model.

still sitting with a3rd gen iPad Air, i've been wanting to upgrade for some time and the small size and overall form factor of the mini has been incising me for a year or two, maybe three .. my iPad sits in a couple different places, but half my interactions are through my Mac's Mouse and Keyboard with continuity, and 100% of it's use is purely media, be it KZbin, Netflix, Prime or Disney+ ..whereas with a mini, a pencil, and some day AirPods Max - i can envision a number of use cases i'll pick up because the small size, and lighter weight will make it something i want to do waited around knowing the moment i picked up the 6, Apple would release a 7 - low-key disappointed the colours have been diluted and that the overall changes are relatively minor, but without Apple Intelligence a 6 would probably start to feel pretty dated pretty fast .. maybe my christmas bonus can cover this little gift for myself 🤞

I don't see an airpods pro 3 happening yet. Even though the airpods pro 2 released 3 years after the first one, it doesn't mean the pattern will continue. Everyone was expecting, well wanted the airpods max 2, more than expecting it last year. But what do they do instead? Release the exact same product, with type c charging. This means that they aren't even thinking about airpods max 2 for at least another 2-3 years. It's ridiculous tbh. With the amount of updates the current airpods pro 2 are getting, I think the 3rd gen won't release until 2026 or 2027. Pretty disappointed with it, because I skipped the gen 2, because I wanted a little design change

The smaller sieze fits in your pocket, it's lighter to hold in your hand without support in train, lying down in bed or sofa. Also when watching youtube before bed I don't want a huge screen blasting my face but still something bigger than my phone. Games is perfect when your fingers can reach the whole screen. Downside is this is to EXPensive!

I find the RAM and storage bumps to be the most practical and value-adding improvements. The rest is laughable, though if keeping the price "low" was a priority in times of hyperinflation, they'll get a pass on a device with no direct competitor... that is if you ignore the practicality and relative value of Android foldables, which can serve as up to three devices in one (e.g., Samsung's Fold).

As you a a reference in Mac product, I gonna put my comment here. I felt very concern about jelly scrolling. What i really dont understand is how it is possible serious people like you can ignore when the jelly scroll was a real issue. As some of us plan to use iPad mini for reading books, there was the time where jelly scrolling was a big issue. I mean while you have a screen full with text, like an ebook or an article, the jelly scrolling was highly noticable, as thread of parallel lines was messed a lot. I find it quite weird and uncomfortable to see videos with people scroll a random image with no parallel thread and arguing there was no jelly scroll before. I m. pretty disappointed that even MacRumors didn't get informed about what the problem was really about. Anyhow, I saw no actual jelly scroll test on text with the new iPad Mini and it s quite a pity.

I've been waiting for this for a while, and now it's here it's pretty meh. - New chips set oooh, only it's not an m2 chip. - "Better" screen, only it's not really. - Still not brought back the headphone socket?
