I bought XFL long version 300 ps in China 3 months ago.. just wanted to drive this before they go all electric. exchanged my old merc C class W205 to this one.. loving it

@@JaguarNaperville it’s absolute delight.. the steering is precise & the interior is rich yet not overly done.. subtle interior as Range Rover.. long version XFL length is 5102 mm with a huge legroom at back. Driving dynamics is better than Mercedes E class & my old C class & you don’t feel you are driving such a long car.

As a long time Jag fan and owner i don't like where its going. My Daily Driver is the Pre Facelift XF X260 Sportbrake with the 3Liter Diesel. Still very Pretty cars, but just not as emotional as they Used to be. I really miss my old V8 XF although it didn't have all thise gimmicks the new one has. I hope they go all out crazy with the ECs they will come up with. The I-Pace is one of the most boring cars in existence. I hope that was just to try out the tech and not forshadowing what's to come.

The Sportbrakes are awesome, sad that body style didn't last longer. I'm hopeful the next generation EV's with far outshine the I-PACE

These would be nice cars if they were somewhat reliable. Bought a used one which died in 10 days and less than 150kilometers.

Yikes! What year/engine was yours? The pre-2021 ones are somewhat known for engine problems

@@jakreu 2014 V6 iirc :( We were driving it in a internal area when a lot of fuel smell started leaking thru the cab. At that point we were confused, as, this isn't your "normal toyota", so, "is it supposed to do that?" It was too intense to the point we stopped and parked it immediately. And it has stayed there since 7-8 months now unfortunately. Given the seller kinda scammed us by saying it's fully serviced and the likes, a mechanic took a look for us and told that the engine is in a very beaten up condition anyway and far from perfect. So yeah, we are actually trying a fraud case in the court as a lawyer did tell with the evidence we have it's possible for us to actually win. But unfortunately that's taking a bit and I'm loosing hope.

@@hariranormal5584 Oh noes. That sucks - I hope you win your case against the seller! As said, the earlier models are a bit known for engine problems, but those are mostly related to the timing chain, not the whole engine giving up entirely. Many people say that the older Ingenium engines require frequent services (not just every 25.000 miles) and then they won't fail (this also applies to the Land Rovers). The V6 was known for being a real fun engine to drive. Maybe it can be fixed, or you can fulfil your Jaguar dream with another car. It really is such an exotic brand but I would not want to miss it.

@@jakreu Kind of a over look, I like to play it safe. Family didn't listen however. I didn't emphasize enough how unreliable they can be, but I DID tell them it's nowhere near your japense names. I just didn't know we could be scammed in this way, we tried to even go to a mechanic to do a quote on parts needed to get it running in good shape. Legit came around at 10k$~ and more. Was around 60% of the car cost itself. Nowadays the car is being sold at just a amazing 5k$. I guess many of them have problems and people don't want to pay the bills to fix it.

@@hariranormal5584 Yes, that is true. The older model years are becoming quite cheap, even the V6 ones. But people should only buy them if they either know how to fix them themselves or have the money to fix them, or have the money to maintain them properly. Unfortunately, the used car market is full of scammers, not just with regard to Jaguar. But: The XFs will eventually start getting more expensive again, since Jaguar has stopped production of all combustion engined-cars in June (every model has been killed except the F-Pace), and they are among the last Jaguars ever running on Petrol/Diesel. The current-gen XF is still quite expensive, but they‘ve got less reliability issues afaik. They‘re going for around 20-30k if you get lucky (Factory prices ranged from 60k to 100k). Reliability has always been a problem with Jaguars (not so much in the 2000s), and it is unfortunate that it happened again with the XF models, although those problems are shared with Land Rover.
