Just bought a Laredo X like this one, but mine has 3rd row, captain’s seats and a sunroof. Love. It! With the rebates, this is a good lease for me because I was carrying quite a bit of negative equity on my near 100k miles trade in. I understand a lot of people are in a negative equity situation due to the chip issues and car shortages 2 years ago. This is a great car and a great time to swallow the negative and drive a new cool car, maintenance free.

This is a decent optioned Laredo. Has what most people want, doesn’t go over the top, isn’t totally stripped down.

Bought mine last week, drove it off the lot and took it on a trip from Austin to Denver. Rode great. 2,000 miles round trip. The only issue so far was a bad Goodyear tire. It was delaminating on the inside with cracks. Stopped in Lubbock at a tire shop for repairs. Easily got 26 mpgs. Almost exactly like this one except grey and no sunroof.

Nice enough vehicle in a sea of competition. Would prefer this powertrain over a turbo 4 with raspy acceleration. Michigan folks will like: Jefferson North final assembly in Detroit and Trenton engine plant V-6. No delete on sunroof? Four by four?..ok, it's a Jeep! Overall a nice tidy package but little to set it apart fron competition. Reliability, longevity should be average. Word on the street is that Jerp sales are very slow..good time for a good deal? I think a purchaser could do far worse. Nice overall package. Very good review!!

Just traded in my honda accord for my 1st ever grand cherokee altitude x. If you are in the market grab one before end of jan you can get 25 altitude x for a great price. Im very happy with my purchase and i originally thought the v6 would be sluggish actually im impressed with this v6 and transmission.

One thing, the length of this is 194”. That’s hard to find in a midsized SUV with a V6 engine. They are typically 197”+. I’d go up in trim for a nicer interior.

The accessory mode in this model, it's very different...does the engine icon stay on in the instrument cluster? The dealership said yes, very different from previous push starts I've owned in the past.

This review was good but lacked information on the 4x4 system, such as is it always on or do you have to select it when the traction is lacking? Also, you kept saying that the sunroof was standard when it clearly is not, it's part of the option package as shown on the window sticker. Would also like to know how easy it is to check the oil, and can you see the oil filter for those that get their oil changed at a shop, you always want to see that the shop actually used new oil and that the oil filter was actually changed. Helpful also if you pointed out other service points like the location of the washer fluid reservoir, brake reservoir, etc. Warranty information would be helpful also. Some things to consider for your future reviews ....

I just bought this model in silver, and the 4x4 is always on, it's a single mode 4 wheel drive, so always in 4-wheel high, no option for 4-wheel low, for heavy stuck in the mod traction

You said early in the video that you would talk about the trailer hitch that is possibly hidden behind a plastic cover. I didn't see or hear you talk about it so........does it come std with a trailer hitch and wiring because I didn't see it on the window sticker?? Appreciate a helpful response. Thank U.

It's in an option package deal. Most come with. If you have it, there are 2 twist clips. Pops right off, and connections are easily accessible.

The 3.6 is great.I had one in my 2013 limited. My wife and I are in our mid 70.s. No power in the passenger front seat sucks for us. I would not buy it for that reason. As i see it the cherokee is overpriced by approx. 2-3 thousand dollars. Looks like a nice car but that front manual seat is no good for older people.

@Laura19833 it's in constant 4wd. It's the quadra trac 1 system. If you get a chance look it up. It's not a bad system it's been around for a while.
