I'm only one Jeep owner, but I have to say my 2017 Jeep Cherokee with the 3.2 V6 engine and 9-speed transmission just turned 120,000 miles and the only time its ever been to the dealer, or any other shop for that matter, was to get an update on the car's main computer. Not a single problem at all, no matter how minor it was. I've made over 20 trips from SW Colorado to Phoenix in 7 years, and I get 31 mpg north from Phx to Colorado, and 32 mpg back down to Phoenix. (more down hills southbound) vs an EPA Hwy estimate of 25 mpg. I'm equal to their biggest fan. A sister had a 2015 Wrangler Rubicon, and now a 2019 Rubicon, and the same thing, neither has ever been to a dealer for any reason.

I have a 2017 Jeep Cherokee (mid sized) with V6 engine, and it currently has over 121,000 miles in over 7-1/2 years of service. In that time it has been to the dealer only once, for an update on the car's computer. It has not been to any other auto service facility of any kind, other than to get a normal tire replacement (40,000 mile intervals +/-). A-n-n-n-d, it gets 32-33 mpg on the highway, thanks to the 50% overdrive in 9th gear.
@andyrendon77532 ай бұрын
@@Mariiii99660k is not good to need to replace something like that. Most of the Japanese cars can go at least 200k miles without needing anything like that. When it reaches over 100k miles that’s when jeeps show their money pit

Just changed the rear breaks for the first time this year on my 2011 KIA Sportage. 113,000 miles on my Sportage, and it's still in good shape. If there's nothing wrong with your vehicle, more people should keep their cars longer. It seems like cars these days, in the last 4 years, have had more problems than the last 2 decades

As a Dodge tech, these days it’s pretty normal for some of these brand new vehicles to have issues, sometimes even before they are sold to customers. During a few recent pre delivery inspections I have had the transmission cooler lines blow off of a 1500, I had a heater hose come off on a Durango, and another Durango with an exhaust leak.

I ALWAYS check ALL the fluid levels before departing the dealership! They always give me hell for requesting that this is done prior to taking delivery because they claim that it has already been done! But, it only takes 15 minutes for the service department to re-verify the levels! My brother purchased a new 2020 Honda Accord that was missing 1.5 quarts of oil and he didn’t notice it until I drove it (a month later) and commented on the (unusually raspy) sound at startup!

I work at a jeep dealer. The amount of wagoneers that sit on the lot is embarrassing. Every single one of them are constantly dying and always need the battery’s charged. The amount that come in for service too is scary. Most common being electrical problems, which also leads to the batteries dying all the time too. This is nothing I wouldn’t expect

These all have the same problem. There is a harness plug in the back somewhere that is zip tied down too tight and the plug backs out due to the tension on the joint where it plugs in. Disabled the truck from starting. There is a recall I believe for this. They cut the zip tie and give the harness a bit of slack.

A couple me and my wife are friends with bought one of these, and we really really liked it but we ended up doing some major renovations to our house instead and put it on the back burner for the time. Fast forward and we have the friends out for dinner about a month ago. They were very upset and started showing us the damage that has happened, the body panels are fading, much of the plastic inside is scratched to hell ( granted, this may have been avoided with better care on their part), the piece of chrome trim on the driver side is half gone, blew off on the highway, and the seats are cracking from the heat (they use a sun visor religiously). As for the mechanical parts, they have had to have new parts installed regularly, the transmission had an issue where it would go into a limp mode for no reason, the radiator cracked, and they had to have the programming in the computer completely deleted and re-done. Its been a nightmare for them. We were glad we dodged the bullet BUT what pisses me off the most is the astronomical price tag for a new wagoneer, and this is the result. This one at 44 miles, theirs had about about 25,000 and they bought it the the same year it came out. Its ridiculous. Ive had a few friends with Gladiators that are falling apart already too and several with new wranglers that have paint bubbling and peeling off as well as a ton of other issues. Think ill hang onto my ride and we will consider something else for road trips. I have an old CJ and its been completely rebuilt which i drive daily and it seems to work just fine lol.
