And then how about a 10% off referral discount on your next tow if you refer a fellow jeep owner.. give them some incentives to really rack up those reward points. That way there's more money left that the owner can put towards their $1600 monthly payment and or maybe have some extra dough to put towards uber rides while their vehicle is in service for weeks or perhaps even months on end.

That clunker Stellantis Jeep has more miles on the back of Dustin's roll back then on the road. Sometimes I really miss my long gone '76 or '79 F350's where the only electronics were the stereos. They even had points and condenser ignitions and, gasp, carburetors that anyone that knew how to raise the hood and with a couple wrenches and a screwdriver could fix.
@TheOzthewiz
@TheOzthewiz 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, those carburetors USUALLY could be "fixed" with a "tap" on the inlet connection, although this might have to be done quite often!

I am supremely happy that you do your diligence and learning about the new brake/park interlocks on these new types of transmissions and control system. I've seen so many tow drivers just rip vehicles apart or severely damage them just getting them back on the bed because they don't know "how to make it move" because it's a sophisticated piece of software/hardware inside a vehicle wrapper. Also, this Jeep = Lemon Law. Full and total cancellation of loan terms and the dealership/OEM buy it back from the customer. None of this frustration should be on a customer that just bought this extremely high price PoS.
@TheOzthewiz
@TheOzthewiz 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, that is about the ONLY thing (besides the gas mileage) that I hate about my '20 Blazer. Fortunately I have not needed a towing "service', YET! Fingers AND toes crossed!
@crazyidiot5309
@crazyidiot5309 3 ай бұрын
@TheOzthewiz the brake/park thing? I hate it too. I mean, put it in park and if need be e-brake. But these new systems that don't work anything like a conventional vehicle, and seems to be different for every vehicle OEM... It just gets stupid. They should have a standard tow mode. The tow driver should be able to push a button maybe under the hood or somewhere standard, and the car goes limp for tow. Something simplified.

Customer had all the evidence on video. I avoid dealerships like the black plague.

@ I bought a new 2023 Jeep Wrangler with the 3.6 and a manual tranny. I wanted low tech and cheap. Well there was a recall on the clutch even before I picked the Jeep up. I say fine. A year later, I'm crawling under the Jeep to do an oil change and find a bolt sticking out n the driveshaft flange south of the transfer case. Apparently when you do a repair, you are suppose to use new bolts dipped with Loctite. The mechanic reused the bolts and broke one in the process. And to top it off, he didn't torque any to spec. All were finger tight. A closer Jeep dealer did the repair for $200 and I sent the bill to the original dealer. The owner's son at that dealer apologized and reimbursed me for the repair.

My friend brought an old Mazda 323 from 93' with 200k miles. In 3 years, with the right maintenence, the car has not show a single problem. I can't really imagine towing his car. It's sad how people buys new cars and those garbages can't even run. But well, your money, your choices.

Definitely a lemon with only 81 miles on it. But there's 4 others wow! I'm looking at a 2010 ford I don't even want something built since covid its too risky.

Apparently the only time you see it rolling down the road is on the back of your truck.

Can't afford a car on my benefits but even if I got rich I would not even consider anything newer than maybe a 2010 of anything. I would buy an older vehicle and spend money making sure it was fixed up before I would buy any of the newer stuff. Just enough electronics to run the engine, transmission and basic stuff. No electric parking brake at all.

Most states have no “cooling off” period. So once you sign and drive away you’re stuck with it.

Just like a "Hyundai/Kia" for engine replacement. At least Hyundai/Kia dealers are WELL stocked with engines. Don't know about transmission stock at Mopar dealers.

I feel bad for people who spend their hard earned money on a new vehicle and it fails them. It's a surprise that the dealership is even trying to help. These vehicles should not have and problems at coming off the lot for some time!
