Sean: one year ago Saturday I went to my first horse race with my 15 year old daughter: it ended up being the 2023 Jim Dandy Stakes Day that Forte won. We had a blast; and I started doing a deeper dive into the 3-year-old-group; and that is how I discovered your informative site. The fantastic morning workout coverage pre-Derby at Churchill; the tremendous coverage of races all over the country; Sean you have played a MAJOR role in not only helping me rediscover my passion for the sport-but I went from a guy who hadn't seen a race to a guy that in the past two and a half months has traveled to see The 150th Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, the Belmont at Saratoga, the Haskell, the Jim Dandy and the Travers Stakes next month. I appreciate everything you do and the role you are playing to help keep this great sport alive-and accentuate its best aspects-THANKS!!! 🐎

Fierceness really needed to beat Sierra Leone to gain back respect. He may need more time between races, but, he probably is the best 3 year old, this was a good win for him.

Wow thanks again for videos! Fierceness really lives up to his name. Seize the grey really looks like a horse from the people! I won 19.20 on the trifecta! I still think Sierra Leone was too far away from the top runners at the far turn. Sadly, I doubt we will not see a rematch in the Travers. I’m hoping these horses will meet up again in the breeders club classic. It would be great to see them take on national treasure and Dornoch.

I'm glad that Fierceness Won!! Sierra Leone Reminds Me Of The Late Great Arrogate!! He Just Didn't Want To Win Anymore!! So They Retired Him!! This Will Probably Happen To Sierra Leone!! He Is Just Tired!! Let Him Retire!!

He didn't run poorly at all and the 3 horse I think bothered him in the stretch - They'll run him in the JCGC and then I believe he'll be retired.

All i Ever Hear About it How Good SL is and How He is Best 3 Year Old...Yet Lost 3 in a Row and Here is FN Hand Ridden to The Wire a Length Ahead of Him and SL Had The Whole Stretch to Run Him Down and FN Was Very Wide and Still Had More Horse at The Wire...SL is a Play Against in The Travers

Sierra Leone, lo que nesecita no es cambio de jinetes, nescesita cambio de entrenador,y xque lo digo? X que este sr,ya a tratado con 4 diferentes jockey ,y el caballo sigue con la misma maña de tirarse hacia adentro y edte sr no le busca un freno que ayude al jinete a controlarlo eso nesecita un buen freno o una rondana con chuzos a ver si no corre derecho

He got a new bit yet again, and the post on the rail on the side where SL lugs in, yet nothing changed including the outcome. While a new trainer like Bill Mott or Baffert is an idea, it is also possible he isn't the best horse & never will be.

There has been a change of bits, Sierra Leon now wears a cage bit which gives the rider more control. He also currently wears a blinker hood to improve his forward focus. He was actually better today with his extreme habit of lugging in...although it was hard to tell when another horse drifted out before regaining position in Sierra's path. All in all bottom line is Fierceness decided to run today & when he wants to run, with his speed figures, nothing gets in his way. Cheers....

@@noblshtplz well tha cage bit dont work,,,he need a prom bit o rondana ,he used tha cage bit race before, ( a good,)i f you see dosent work you have too look for sontime else, thas a good trainner do,

I would translate Rafael's statement like this: "Say what you want, Fierceness is the best three year old. He has beaten Sierra Leone two times." Where it is written " Le Agado" should be "Le ha ganado." (He has beaten gun . . .)
