These KLX's are a lot more fun than the spec sheet would suggest, they are nimble machines aren't they! I've really been having a blast on dual sports and supermotos at the end of this season :). I love my 2023 black camo it’s a tuff little bike that unfortunately I have crashed a few times on it. But thankfully it was easy to fix and actually did some upgrades along the way.

So no break in? I’m not sure you should’ve been above 4000 rpm 😮

I asked the dealership about this as well, and they said don't worry about it. From what I've read and seen, the best way to break in an engine is with varied throttle inputs for the first few hundred miles, of course not sitting at redline for extended periods of time, but that's not really good for any engine. For example, freeway riding isn't the best way to break in an engine, due to droning at the same engine speed for extended periods of time. These engines are tested before shipping, and are redlined before they even show up on the showroom floor as well.
