The forte gt had a dual clutch transmission. The stinger was just a normal 8 speed.

you can change the cluster design in the settings and you can have the climate/entertainment controls set if you hold down the climate button to what standard setting you want after several seconds. its intuitive. great car.

Kia is really coming up. They made nice cars for a nice price with nice features. Strange that this one doesn't have a bench seat in the middle row.

Mmmm, I'm just not a Hyundai/Kia fan. I came very close to buying a 2015 Hyundai Equus and a 2016 Kia Cadenza one time. For some odd reason I always follow my heart and instincts and buy a Toyota/Lexus product. Yea, they have issues too but I just feel more confident in a Toyota. I own a 2024 Corolla Hybrid. Fantastic car but decided I needed an SUV also so recently, I got super lucky and came across a 2013 Lexus RX350 low miles, 86k one owner with a stack of maintenance records.

And honestly it makes sense, I can completely justify what you’re saying. Hyundai Kia motor group rapidly evolved throughout the mid 2010s and as with rapid engineering evolution…you tend to see more defects in the product. Even Toyota is starting to resemble this today with their newer “small displacement, turbo” motors replacing what were genuinely good larger displacement motors only in the name of fuel economy. I’m a big fan of Toyota’s hybrid tech on the other hand. I believe their synergy systems (naturally aspirated ones of course) are the best out there. I wouldn’t mind a large displacement four cylinder hybrid replacing a V6. Obviously I’d prefer the performance, sound and feel of a V6…but in the end if it’s about sheer reliability and mileage, I’m not going to go with the non-turbo hybrid. I’m genuinely proud of how unbelievably far Hyundai and Kia have come, they’ve built some incredible cars. But as someone who prefers relatively familiar mechanical designs, my choice is still going to be Toyota.

I like it, and not bad for the price. Doesn't do much for me visually, but everything else is really cool. Love the color too!

I feel like the Sorentos have always been outside of the other Kia models. You can get an older Sorento that's super reliable and very capable. Hopefully this generation maintains some of that reliability. I would definitely try to opt for the Sorento over the Sportage if I could swing it. I have a '18 Soul with the Shiftronic transmission (which is horrific), but the engine is amazing. Kia = Good Engines, Terrible Transmissions
