2024 Kia Telluride Review

I just got a 2024 Kia Telluride almost a month ago. We upgraded from a 2013 Kia Sorento (that lasted us 11 years/140k miles). So far I absolutely LOVE the telluride as far as interior space and the way it drives. My biggest concern/complaint though… while the interior looks very nice and luxurious it all feels really cheap. Like everything from the synthetic leather seats to the cup holders for second row passengers to basically any thing plastic, it just doesn’t feel durable. Considering it’s a family car this is a major downfall because kids are rough on stuff. So happy my kids are officially out of car seats/boosters because the material of the telluride seats don’t feel like they will hold up well to car seats (especially if you take them in and out of the car often). So be prepared to order a lot of protective gear for the interior if you have young kids.

I currently own a Kia Sorento all the way from 2008, i just love the way it looks and demands respect on the streets and I'm seriously considering upgrading to a telluride too

When I sat in the grand highlander, the Pilot, the Traverse (new 2024), Grand Cherokee L, and the Palisade...THOSE all felt cheaper than the Kia. To each their own.

I have 2 toddlers and the 23 telluride xline when it first release. I haven't has any issues with the interior (terracotta) no issue.

Hated the amber lights before and still hate them with the upgrade. The 2023 white ones were nice

I have a ‘24 forte with wireless carplay.. i’m surprised they put it on a cheaper sedan and not a nicer suv like the telluride

"It's a smart application of a really worth-while technology." Any credentials you might've once had as an automotive journalist just went out the window with that statement. By now, EVERYONE knows that engine start-stop features are a complete joke. It has every reason to be hated by drivers. The amount of wheel reinvention that was required to make it work was ridiculous for the tiny benefit it provided. Much as I'm not an electric car guy (until they greatly improve, at least), even I can agree that, if you're going to buy a car with a start-stop function, you really should be buying a hybrid instead. A hybrid is going to offer much more OVERALL environmental benefit versus start-stop and you're adding just a few more additions to the system. Start-stop adds a ton of complexity for a lot of grief and a trivial environmental benefit by comparison. Also, hybrids have reached a point where the tech is much more reliable and easier to service. Full electric vehicles, on the other hand, are STILL a complete joke except for a very select few drivers who live in a sweet spot where they have unlimited access to conveniently located fast chargers and, for that matter, never go far from home. Until you can charge one up in the same time it takes to fill your tank with gas and for less money, they're not even a consideration for 99% of us.

When it’s in park, it still had the tendency to roll and I heard they expect YOU to pay for it but will reimburse you. Hell NO! And I really liked them but now I don’t I want one. SMH!

Best SUV in my opinion, I have Audi Q5 and it's tiny, Q5 back seat (2nd row) is a joke. I am getting this car. I love Amber light !

😂😂😂 I just looked at all the 3 row offerings and the Grand Highlander was by far the most quality. Kia’s look so tacky and cheap in person. Black gloss is so ugly. It’s the ship lap of car design.

@@johnlocke3481 no it’s not. Only a fangirl says the grand highlander is quality. The Toyota has significantly more hard plastics than the Kia and you can tell the Kia looks more upscale

In person the whole car is ugly as hell tbh. It looks soooo cheap and tacky. Black rims were never attractive and they really aren’t doing this any favors

These look so “ghetto” in person. Really wanted to love it, but it’s just tacky shiny toy plastic looking. Not sure who they are popular with or why. The interior is cool, but when I see these I kind of cringe at who would buy them 😅
